Anyone up for a long weekend meet at Whiteface, NY - Snowboarding Forum

I'm thinking about doing a long weekend at the end of Jan. or early Feb. at Whiteface. Anyone interested? No clue what the cost would be till I have some numbers of people interested.

I would be in if it didn't take 6 hours to get there. 5 hours is the max I will go for a one day outing and I can't afford the time for multiple days.

I might be down for going. I am going the weekend of my birthday, March 6-8, with a few friends but maybe would travel up there before that.

Ok, if we can get 5 or 6 people I think I can get a place that will sleep 6 to 8 and keep the cost to about $100 to $125 for lodging. Is 20 min. too far a drive to the slopes?

I'm thinking arrive on Thursday and depart on sunday. The dates I'm looking at are Jan. 29 thru Feb. 1 or Feb. 5 thru Feb. 8. Let me know on preferences of dates and I'll try to lock on a house.

Also, if you are in NY you can buy a 3 pack of lift tickets at Price Chopper for $139 which is much better than $77 a day regular price.

Please let me know what you all think!

Might can throw two people in for fri-sun. Especially if I can teach the dogs to feed themselves!!

Carmen, just bring whever you want. We will have stuff to make tacos one night and just wing the other nights dinner or go out.

To anyone else reading this, we have 5 folks in right now. I can fit another 2 in the house. Right now the beds are all spoken for by the first 5, but there is a couch and someone could bring an air mattress or something. Let me know if you are interested...the price is $110 each right now with 5, additional people will make it cheaper for everyone.

Also, we check in Thurs. night(feb 5.) and check out before we go ride sunday morning. You can find cheap lift tickets for Whiteface at Book Discount Lift Tickets and Ski Hotels Online! you will have to buy them before you get there from that website to get the discount. $50 a day vs. $77.

Yep, way better than full price! Looking forward to it. Saw the doc yesterday, the ribs are not broken...just beat up and very sore. He gave me a bottle of wonder pills so I can ride this weekend, so I should be fine. Now heres to hopeing for a little snow up at the Face!

I'd love to ride the slides! I keep checking their webpage but don't see any info if they have or will open them up. I've been doing some reading up in the glades and they look fun. I'm also pumped to ride their newly opened 3 mile long Wilmington trail.
