Default 2010 East Coast Meet Discussion thread!

Well three months of rest and now its time to get back into snowboarding mode

Welcome to the Snowboardingforum.com 2010 East Coast Meet Discussion thread. The purpose of this thread is to talk about where our annual meet will be held. The last two years have been an epic adventure at Jay Peak Vermont during mardi gras week that nobody will ever forget. Quite frankly I couldn’t come up with a better package based on its central location, terrain, economic value and epic times.

There are other places in the East and I am willing to search them out based on your input. Honestly I cant think of too many but perhaps you can so lets talk about it. Please keep in mind the location should be based on a regional area, what the resorts offer for a variety of riding skills and low key, economic value.

Once we have determined where, then I will start the actual thread.

The when is easy. I love the timeframe as the last two years. This year it would be February 25th, thru March 3rd. 2010 (Thursday thru Wednesday). There is always good snow in the Northeast this time of year. We could go earlier if you want.

This year I put a poll in this thread so members can vote. Discuss your thoughts as well

This meet is open to members and additions but you must be 18 or older (unless accompanied by an adult). I will explain all the details in the actual thread.

So basically it is July 2009 and its time to talk about the most epic snowboarding meet and adventure the internet will ever…..

Ever!!!!

Ever have!

I want to so badly, but we'll see how things work out for me this year. I'm working a lot, but still don't have much extra cash to buy a new set-up with, which is needed cause I snapped mine last year.

how about mt snow as an option? ill be there all season anyway so any date wouldnt matter for me. also it would be the closest mtn for most people to drive to because its the first mtn you would hit after entering vermont. i live in atlantic city in jersey and from there the drive is a mere 5 hour drive if i dont hit much traffic and with my ez pass. the mtn has amazing parks and trails in general. theres a trail for any skill level of rider and if you like big steep runs we have the north face of the mtn which is nothing but black diamonds and some amazing trees to ride if theres some good coverage.

I myself live in Jersey and I would also say Mt.Snow or even Stratton, the mountains don't have kiiler vert but it'll do good for less advanced rider's. Also Stratton has a good selection for dining and shoping. just a thought.

I'd like to add as well that if we're going to have 30+ people again, we should arrange bigger housing. Having people sleep on a tiny loveseat is a bit rough. I don't think couches should be counted as beds unless they pull out into beds.

Also, 30 people trying to hang out in one living room is a little overboard lol
