I've never been to a demo day before, so I've got no clue what goes on. I wanted to try out some of the newfangled technologies this year and was looking around to see what I could demo. Google let me down big-time.
Never Summer has a calender that has some demo dates on it, but other than that I couldn't find much. How far in advance do companies usually plan these events(is it just too early to look)(should I check all the mountains' event calendars on a weekly basis during the season)? I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource that has this kind of info? I could just e-mail every board company and every mountain in Washington and Idaho but that seems like a pain in the ass. I'm mainly interested in Never Summer, K2, Nitro, Arbor, Bataleon, Rome, Ride, Atomic & LibTech. But if you've got info on other manufacturers, might as well post it as this could turn into a resource for others. Here's a link to the NS calendar: { Try One } Never Summer Industries |

No NS demo days in WA on the schedule yet. Hope they add one. They had one at Crystal last season but I wasn't able to make it up that day =(

Best place is your local ski shops.. they will have info on the demo days closest to you. I've been to a few around here in PA.. only got to try two boards though.. the K2 WWW (which i loved) at one .. and a NS at the other. its always very hit or miss.. you never know when they'll show up unless the manufacturers website SAYS they'll be there.

You can also check the schedule on the websites of your local mountains. That's how I always found out, although it's a bit early and most board companies/shops/resorts haven't finalized that kind of stuff yet.

Ya, I thought it would probably still be early. I don't think there will be a whole lot of demo's out in Eastern Wa or North ID. I didn't hear about any last year - not manufacturers anyway, just some of the local shops. I was just talking to some friends around the region and trying to plan some trips. I'll probably make a trip to Ellensburg and head up to Snoqualmie, Tacoma-Crystal, and possibly Portland-Hood sometime this year. It's a lot more likely to find a demo at one of those, but I'd have to plan it well ahead of time.
