Thanks for encouragement. I am hoping to learn a lot on this trip. Don't get me wrong, I am very proud of where am at in this sport. I still remember when I couldn't even stand up on the board. I feel like I have achieved a lot given the little experience (26 days on the board in 4 seasons) I,ve had in this sport and had a blast doing it.

One day I hope to slap on the cramp ons, ascend a challenging summit than snowboard back down, hitting drops, jumping rollers, navigating bumping tree sections along the way. That is the snowboarder I want to be!

Keep in mind I have a trip to telluride planned for late this month, so I am going to work hard at progressing there to...Even doing a $600 full day private lesson...
I am defiantly doing some prep work...lol...

QFT. It's super mellow. Just make sure you don't sit up there too long and let it get all shady. It ices up fast. Also, don't take an edgeless park jib stick either lol.

Still traumatized from your "Ride of Doom" heading towards the stinking, steaming open maw of Devil`s Kitchen on your edgeless jib board?.....

Yo KY - You'll be in good hands and learn some amazing shit!!! It will be super mellow and Snowolf and the other more experienced riders will make sure we're all solid and you'll get to charge off one item from the "list of things to do before i die" list. And anyway, by the time this season is over you will have learned so much, when June hits you'll start getting the sweats and dreams of riding and have to go through a long miserable summer... At least you can bust one FAT ASS NUT between seasons .

Question details

can we get some estimated dates... and lift ticket costs...
I'm slightly interested but can't say whether or not I'm REALLY interested in making this happen unless I know what the total budget is going to be and when during the summer y'all wanna go (I'd need to request off early).
Spanks!

Just read the thread. Info is all there. Might be a good idea to add it to the first post Wolf.

I can't wait to meet everyone. Looks like we have a great group for this trip.

On the mt. st helens thing, would that be snowboarding as well or we be hiking St. Helens?

Hike up. Ride down. I believe SnoWolf posted a trip report about it last year.

EDIT: Here http://www.snowboardingforum.com/bac...er-hiking.html

EDIT: Woops thats the wrong one. That is late summer.

You've gotta hike up to snowboard down, unless Snowolf is gonna get his heli license and fly us up. I always use my splitboard, but it is definitely doable in snowshoes, or boots depending on the snow condition. The splitboard is less tiring, but it is still doable without it.

Mt. St. Helen`s is certainly a great back country snowboarding destination. Having said that, I see this as problematic for this event for the following reasons.

First of all, by June, even in a good snow year, the coverage is lacking as this is a southern exposure and what snow there is is often pretty filthy from the ash and pumice being carried by wind.

Secondly, this is a strenuous climb and most visitors without a lot of hiking and climbing experience are not going to find this aspect all that enjoyable.

Third, with the days we have for this event, adding this is cramming an awful lot into a meet of this nature. Honestly, having climbed Hood, Adams and St.Helen`s, I think Mt. Hood offers the best terrain and snow conditions for this time of year. With just a 3 hour hike, we can access any kind of back country that will satisfy the entire group from the most mellow rider to a cliff dropping junkie without having to drive 100 miles from our base.

As I mentioned earlier though, if you want to try to get together in April, I am up to do St. Helen`s......
