Hey man, hope this doesn't catch you too late. I was really disappointed by The Canyons this time around. Last time I was there was epic. This time, IDK, just rubbed me all sorts of the wrong way. Too many cat tracks I guess.

If you get a chance, get in touch with Burritos and go ride Brighton with him. He definitely knows his way around there. Check out the Milly Chair if you're up for some faux backcountry type riding. Good glades and a few cliffs and rock drops of varying sizes.

Definitely check out Snowbird if you get a chance, too. We only spent one day there, but I wish I could've traded that dat at The Canyons for another day at the Bird or at Brighton. Both chairs off the Mineral Basin were a blast. Mineral Basin express served primarily steeps, cliffs, slackcountry and BC access. Baldy Express served access to Alta, as well as some really nice, coasting green runs that kind of resembled a bowl. Awesome over all.

I was pleasantly surprised by PCMR, I know it gets the bad rap as the "tourist" resort, but we were there midweek so it wasn't really very crowded, and conditions were overall pretty good. I'd ride there again, but next time around I definitely have to make more room for the Brightons and Snowbirds. >> Reviews | Trip Reports | Commentary
