Went 2 seasons ago when Kass won. The event runs the whole week, but the best part is the weekend thats when you have quarter pipe, half pipe and slopestyle finals. Honestly its ok you even get to rub elbows with pros sometimes. I got to talk to Chas Guldeimon and ride the lift with Louie Vito.I will tell you its expensive to stay @ Stratton and nearly impossible to get a room that weekend, unless you book in advance. What we did is we stayed at Mount Snow which was empty and drove to stratton which is like 15 minutes away if you take the back roads. In all it was fun.

I actually have the higher education pass so i have a season pass to mount snow and i was thinking of turning it into a kinda vacation for myself and some friends. You know seven days at a cheapish hotel/motel, go see the events at stratton and then ride at mt snow, i figured it would be crazy crowded at stratton to get any riding in. You wouldn't happen to remember those back roads would you?

I've gone every year since '06 and last year even went as media. The riding honestly isn't too bad. The majority of people go and hang out in the sponsor village and around the pipe and whatnot so it looks crowded. I only live an hour and a half/2 hours away so I go out and back all week. A lot cheaper on gas than paying for a room. I'm hoping to make it out for at least 4 days this year instead of the usual 2. We should get a meet-up together for anyone going. It's always a good time!

The Liftline Lodge is about as cheap as it gets @ Startton its not bad at all, the Startton Inn would be your next step up the which is similiar but with a restaurant and bar inside the hotel(nothing that great). Try looking into rates now call to speak to someone. If you do book it you only have to pay half of the total cost now to rest at booking. Also everything is walking distance to the lift, plus they have shuttles all night.

This year will be tough since I will be kickin it in my Jeep to sleep and making pb& js but hey you gotta do what you gotta do if you want to do something that bad! If anything book hotels as soon as they have the dates...do they have the dates yet? I havent even looked! The rail jam, slope style and halfpipe competitions are a must see. If you make it to the events early you can get great seating or standing room. Days before the events you can catch people practicing so just pop in and take a look and a few pics then shred the rest of the day. You make ti what it is! ![]() ![]()
