NYC area road trippers for 2011 season???!!! - Snowboarding Forum

I'm from the Bronx NYC and was trying to find other people in the area who do roadtrips to some good boarding spots maybe throughout the NE?? I snowboard usually with 1 or 2 other friends n 2 girls who suck so I'm just trying to get more and more into it this year...Also, coming off a torn ACL/Miniscus so I need to get out there!! Any info would be great!

There's a pretty good group of us from the LI/NYC area on this board that do trips pretty regularly. We're actually headed up to Jimminy Peak tomorrow for a day trip, the discussion is actually in this section of the forum if you look quickly. Also we generally post when we're taking a trip so keep your eyes open on here and you should be able to hook up with some of us.

thats cool..ill def be checkin for that cuz its hard to get the ambition to drive further than the usual spots with no1 to go with really...I wana hit up spots like killington for the weekend or anywhere in that area.. Im pretty much down for wutever as long as I get out of the usual Mntn CReek/hunter/windham areas!!!
Anyone else got nething goin on?

just went to killington... small terrain park but good.

i'm brooklyn. actually looking to get a season pass to a local mountain. got a car.

alright so when do u think ur going next and where do u plan on going?? was that ur first time at killington?

i just ordered a board on ebay. it should get here next week. I have to get bindings and boots and I should be set!

yeah that was my first time at killington. they only had a few trails open but it did snow which was awesome powder.

You getting a season pass?

i'm thinking of getting a mountain creek 5x7 pass.

i only started like 2 yrs ago and ive never had a season pass, we usuallly made day trips to mntn creek but i wana do weekends now when i can cuz the whole nightlife at lodges seems pretty dope and i wana see it...i cant go until like end of january anyway cuz i just wana get my knee as strong as possible cuz i dont wana tear my acl again..when u go do u have any other people that go?

yeah, i got a good amount of people who go. the problem is weekdays, brah. i dont really work them but everyone else seems to.
