Pretty damn bad... i haven't been out since Easter weekend!... yeah!...

To be honest, I got so wrapped up in all the other stuff going on, I kinda was ready to get into summer.. even put away the winter jackets, and put the summer tyres back on the car :P...

but i really wanna go, I just was wondering if that's a typical price for an east-coaster to come out, or if I was paying double what most do cuz I'm going solo...

Well since you are traveling alone some of the expenses (lodging most notably) are going to be more expensive. I don't think anything else is double whammy except for that. At $60 a night for lodging, I would say that is decent enough of a deal. Telus is still going on when you are planning on being there right? Should be lots of stuff to do after the slopes close that is for sure. Bonus with the spring riding, you don't need to bother to hit the slopes until after 10am anyway. So whoop it up at night.

unfortunately Telus will be done as of April 21st

haha, I might make the after parties!...lol

Yeah, its the same cost to stay somewhere in the village for $99 per night, as it is to stay in a hostle for $60/night and have to rent a car.

decisions decisions.

^ thanks brii...

Well, I took the plunge today and booked it all in about 10 minutes. Got a freaking sweet deal on a hotel room right in the village, 10 mins walk from Blackcomb base, with a private hot tub!!!...lol. :P

I'll be there on Monday night, and leaving Friday morning to come back to Toronto, so anyone in van-city that wants to crash is more than welcome, as long as you bring booze, and safety supplies.

So you intend to get your guests drunk adn then be "forced" to use such safety supplies? You're a horrible person.

And yes, I do get the innuendo.

There are some Shell Whistler/Blackcomb coupons for 2 for 1 lift tickets that are valid now.. so you and your buddy could save on lift tix that way.

And I believe lift tix are cheaper now, seeing it's not high season anymore.

But if you can find the 2 for 1 coupons, then that'd be a great deal.

if you're looking for someone to talk to about mountain safety, head over to the grocery store in the mountain village. my guess is once you're in front of that place, you'll know who to ask. at least that's how it was for me. i had a very safe trip.

^ haha, thanks for the tip! (wish I read it earlier though)... I ended up finding this 50yr old hippie dude from near Toronto on the bus ride up to whistler, who was also a very safe individual (haha, Carmen and him would get along great!...lol) so we hung and stayed safe all week.

I wrote a review: http://www.snowboardingforum.com/sno...istler-bc.html

thanks for inspiring me to go through with this fellas!... this trip was only second to the east coast meet :P
