Jim Thorpe sounds really good actually. camping and rafting is right there and there is some SIIIICK mtn biking in that area.

another plus is its right off the NE extension of the PA turnpike so its really easy to get to.

Yay! I'd actually get to use my mountain bike! They have skirmish(paintball) there as well.

Under no condition will any mountainbikers leave camp without prior safety meetings!
Now as far as the paintball....we can hold the meetings their while under fire

So when do u guys think u would want to do this. Sounds like pocono camping would work. Unless others have ideas. We could do a simple weekend thing. Its close for everyone. All we really need is a campground near where u guys want to mountainbike, hike, raft or whatever.

June usually is a good weather month. not many holidays there.
July probably is busy for alot of people with the 4th and all.
August is good except toward the end cause its labor day.

They do forecast an above avg temps for june, july and august. So we should take advantage of it.

Well then I see no better time to go jumping in white waters or hanging in a cool tree infested campground after a hard day of mountainbiking or just hanging around than August.

I looked on the calandar August 8th(friday) thru Monday August 11th. seems pretty good. Wanna give it a try??
Well call it the "Dog days of summer meet"
