Nice, this is a great thread. Being new to the area I plan on getting to as many resorts as possible this season. Hope to meet some of you out there.

They talk about it here:
Rail Jam - Peek'n Peak Forum

The whole Holiday Valley Crew and I were working the October Fest in Ellicottville so Next weekend we should be there.
There is a Peek'n Peak swap as well. Great blow-out deals.

Looks like fun.

I nominate WhiteFace for the first meet of the year. They are likely to be the first place to open with the most non-man-made snow. They opened last year before Thanksgiving. I think most resorts near Rochester of Buffalo open closer to Christmas.

Default Whiteface

Ok, after a long debate of many members on here Chances are Whiteface will be getting snow a little sooner than other resorts. And I think we should take advantage of that.

So lets see if we can make an inaugural mini meet at whiteface a reality. We obviously need snow and the rest we can workout. Would u want to do a weekend(Saturday and Sunday) or just a day trip. Me personally I would drive up Friday early am and ride all day, get a room until Sunday am and certainly people can chip in a few bucks and crash there. I cant see it being expensive at all.

If the weather cooperates we could actually be riding there within a month...so lets keep tabs on that snow and see if we can get together and rock that place.

I might be down for that. Id likely be kinda last minute. Good conditions might keep me at home. traveling 4 hours in a blizzard would suck especially since I need to drive right over Jay to get there.

Excuse me for being so unorganized but I failed to put the whiteface link on this initial post of this thread Well I fixed it and here it is for your viewing pleasure.

WHITEFACE - SKI / RIDE NEW YORK

Now in all seriousness if you all agree to make Whiteface an initial inaugural mini meet then I will put that on the initial post in bold green so everyone knows what is being planned.

I am convinced these mini meets in here will be just as epic and fun as the major meets we put on...the thought being you come and go as u please, we will have simple overnight accomodations for those who want to stay and party and anyone from the area is certainly welcome.

This is your chance to ride at places you normally would not. I will also look into discount passes once decisions on where we meet is decided.
