I love the Banana. Just got one last week on sale for 20% off, couldn't pass up the deal. Tested it out for the first time today, and I'm blown away.. definitely the best investment I've made in a long time. The conditions were icy as hell, and I'm in shock how much grip this thing has. I've carved down what essentially looked like a skating rink and it hasn't slipped once. I wouldn't even dare try that with my old board. Landing jumps felt really solid too, even with the icy conditions.

I just wish Lib Tech had a less loud color scheme available. Don't get me wrong, I think the board looks sick, but that bright yellow/green top and the huge "Skate Banana" lettering on the bottom gets so much attention it's ridiculous. I'm not sure if I'll ever want to leave the board unattended lol

The GNU Aletered Genetics is no more stable than the banana. It's not offered in a 152 so that's probably where the illusion of more stability comes from.

I've had some chatter at high speeds but that's mostly due to semi choppy conditions. The flex in the banana tends to talk back but it's just something to get used to. It is a dream in powder though. Oh dear god was it fun. Very light for quick "oh shit!" turns in the trees and it just floats over everything. Very happy with my banana.

I really want to try out the GNU Park Pickle. I don't have issues with heel side cuts but it is something I'd like to feel out.

My skate banana is very fast.... and it handles really well at speed.... stopping is my problem... i tend to put too much weight on my front foot and throw a butter... but w/e... it looks cool...

they offer the 2009 banana in 3 colors, not just the green/yellow, they offer red/black and blue/black, and too bad you missed the 50% they had on them at sierrasnowboard.com if they ship to canada that is ..

I almost scooped one... it got stolen from me when my girlfriend took too much time deciding what board she wanted...and yes, they do ship to Canada.

I didn't realise that the 09 only came in three colours. I was hoping for a purple board.

I think Skate Banana's just come assorted.. from what i've heard when a store orders from Lib Tech they just order the amount needed & they are shipped assorted.. & this is why one place will have more of one color in stock compared to another store
