Yup that's what I've been told at the local store here too.. Since the demand for them is so high the stores don't really get to pick the colors. Apparently the color combinations vary even for boards of the same size. For example, the 156 I got was available in green/yellow top with either black or green bottom.

I wasn't talking about the choice of the colors when I said they were too loud though. No matter if it's green, yellow, purple, blue or red I think it still stands out way too much. Not complaining, just stating an opinion

when you order online, you can get the original or the assorted colors. i believe they even have 2 different SKUs for them.

I only ever got two options. The "regular" yellow/green (which I wanted) or assorted. I know some places that I looked at you could input a preferance. None of those places were Canadian though. :/

I believe that BTX stands for banana tech & MTX stands for magne-traction & the Skate Banana has both..

Lib Technologies 08/09

I can't believe how many SB's I saw yesterday at bear, felt like everyone had it (exaggeration but still)

I really need to try one out, I wonder if I'll like it better than my custom

ok this concept seems hard for people to grasp but here it is fellas.
BTX= Banana+magnetraction aka banana tractio
MTX= regular camber+magnetraction.

to my knowledge lib tech and gnu do not even offer a banana without mtx because technically they have less control on hardpack. i would say mtx more then compensates for it though.

" lib tech and gnu do not even offer a banana without mtx" Don't you mean without magnetraction, if mtx stands for reg camber + magnetraction?

I think BTX= Banana tech, MTX= Magnetraction. All banana boards also have mtx, if the board is just designated mtx than no banana, which would mean reg cabmber. Ok, i'm confusing myself
