BTW, Blue Knob was very fun. whether or not its worth that extra hour past whitetail I'm still debating, but it was definitely a fun mountain.

Me and my friend accidentally ended up in the tubing dead-end and after we asked for directions towards the main/hard slopes, I know for a fact that the guys who told us 2 alternatives did NOT expect us to actually go through the woods. To top that one off, we ended up sledding through most of that right on our boards. People at the diamond slopes musta had a good laugh seein 2 doods pop outta woods on their asses lol.

Same kit I bought. It's awesome. I may go to WTail next weekend and hit the progressive park and try the pipe. I'm pretty confident in my ability to hit jumps and my 180 ollies down hills are pretty spot on. I'm also much better at switch. I'm OK at smaller rails, but my job kind of requires me not to have broken hands, so I may just focus on just jumps and learning how to hit little pipes.

has anyone gone to whitetail/liberty in the past day or two? any idea how slushy it is now? one of the webcams is showing a lot of grass/dirt...
I was up at liberty 2 nights ago and it was pretty slushy in the afternoon, but it seemed to harden up after the sun went down and then it wasnt so bad.

You could still ride in it fine though and there werent any bare pathes on the actual trails, just off to the side

nice i'll have to check that out. dont need anything but worth looking. selection at the store near me is poor at best tho.

oh nice, was there any 2011 gear? and have you been to any REI's to see if they're having their sales?
got an email from REI regarding the winter sale. prices werent great. your best bet is to shop REI and backcountry outlet sites.

There was some 2011 stuff left, a lot of Burton. Helmets, bindings, boots were on sale too, but not all of them were 50 percent off.

I'm heading out now to check the Dick's in colonial park area, don't need anything but if a deal is too good to pass up i couldn't not buy it ;-)

I don't even know where an REI store would be? I shop evo.com and whiskymilita.com most of the time.

This past weekend it was horrible. whole place was a sheet of ice with dirt starting to show through the base in a lot of spots. they lost a ton of base over the last 2 weeks. not sure if this snow and cold weather turned it around yet or not.

i used the advantage card for 2 seasons before getting the season pass. I would say its good if you plan on going at least 7 times... if you go more than that i would get a season pass..if its the same you get your every 6th or 7th time free.. i think i got to a point where i got 3 free lifts and was like.. man with the money spent i would have had a season pass by now..
