oh wow, I have to put pics up too!
Went riding this weekend up at Bel, and I had so much fun! Gotta say thanks to everyone who helped me out, picking my board and bindings - it all paid off! The Vinyl rides like a dream. I can carve now with total ease In one day I have become a better rider (and who says snowboards don't make the rider?). Haha. A couple of times I felt like I was about to fall - but the board held the edge beautifully. This board is great for someone with not a lot of experience. I can't wait to take it out again ![]() Here's a pic of me (the first I have up on a mountain )![]() It was windy that day! Gusts of around 35-40mph

Good to hear you had a great time riding!!!! This past weekend was a perfect couple of days for the sport. IMO you and your board are one so yea the board does make the rider lmao
It's true..there was A LOT of wind this weekend although Sun was better, but then again I was teaching that day so I only hit the upper slopes twice so I prob. wouldn't be the best judge ![]() I'm so happy the season is finally starting to find it's own....I'm going up again on Wed and Sun this week for my 11th and 12th days on the slopes; I'm so psyched!!!!! ![]() ![]() BTW thats a great pic..did you use a professional photographer?

Heads up: Website for Bell shows $25 for customers on this Friday (1/5/09) in appreciation support, seems they do this once a month by the looks of it.

yup yup one friday every month is customer appreciation day and also you ride for free on your b day at Bel and if your b day falls outside of the season you ride for free on the corresponding day of a month during the season ( this way the summer babies don't whine
)it's a pretty sick deal, although it's not exactly easy for most ppl to go up on a friday

Indeed, I would have to work 10 hour days to not use an accrued vacation day from work to get Friday off to make it worthwhile....meh

Can't agree more mpd...and the tolls just went up again for what other reason than them crying poverty.
I have a client who used to work for port authority at triboro and he told me that out of the tolls they collect the mta gets like 70% of them so barely any money sees the roadways. With all the money we pay I wish they would at least fix the pot holes

awesome lol
yea freezing rain is no good, I'm going up t/m and I really hope it'll be a good day. It's saying that t/m it's supposed to be icey and that it could cause power outages. I kind of feel like they are slightly exaggerating, so I called my friend up there and he said it isn't snowing yet, so idk. my concern is that my car won't be able to handle the icey conditions. I don't have a truck/suv
