Main roads should be fine by fri,but the storm may not wind down til late evening thursday. Should be about 8-12" out at liberty. I am heading for WV after I get some sleep...chasing the pow, hope it dumps 2' like last week. Looking good...changeover already starting earlier than expected out there.
Anyone going to 7 Springs Monday with a season pass? Season pass holders get an extra free ticket every Monday in March and I'd like to spend less than $60.
I just ripped the shit (sort of) out of Liberty in pa in short sleeves. It was fun. There were like 10 people there. I got a sunburn. All this while you were at work as a prostitute. You shoulda been there but I'm happy you weren't.
These pictures make me sad... this was my first season ever and I started late as it was. At least made it out to Breck and am set up for fall already.
Im surprised there is any snow left at all! This was my first season as well, and I already purchased my season pass for next year (liberty/WT/Roundtop). Here's hoping for a cold and snowy 15/16 season!!!
Leaving from my home or my office on the west side of Baltimore County I can be on the slope at Liberty in under one hour. I'll be ripping shit up there again next year. Don't get me wrong, whitetail is a better mountain. But it gets super crowded and it doesn't have a bar.
same here! I work in owings mills, earlier this year I would leave after work on friday and get there in an hour. one road all the way and a nice drive
When the season comes back around I'd be interested to talk to anyone who rides the 3 PA sister mountains (Liberty, Whitetail, Roundtop). None of my friends ski or ride. I'll have a season pass for the 15-16 season. I like hitting it on the weekends but the mid-week daytime session is where I really get my turns in.
I'd be down. I work during the week but I can take a day off here or there to hit the mountain. I prefer doing that anyway to avoid the weekend crowds.
Does anyone know how Liberty and Whitetail compare to Snowshoe in WV? Only reason I ask is all three places are the same distance from me and I've never been to the ones in PA.
Don't even bother. The 3 resorts aren't nearly as good as Snowshoe. I live only an hour away from Liberty while Snowshoe is about 5 hours away and still would rather go to Snowshoe.
Snowshoe is a different thing. It's more of a resort while Liberty or whitetail are just local mountains. It would be more fair to compare snowshoe to Seven Springs or Wisp. Liberty and whitetail are more like wintergreen or massanuten if I remember them correctly.
There is no where to ride. Snowflex sucks unless you are a park rat. Summer sports are keeping me occupied. Dont mind the break in seasons. Makes each season exciting when it comes back around.
Soon it'll mean that we can start riding real snow instead of Snowflex carpet boarding.
