Default Massanutten

Any regulars here board there? I went today and it was great, it got up to 60 today but the snow wasn't slushy at all like it was on Sunday. Pity the season is about to end.

I used to go there back in the early 00's. How's the terrain park?

I only go to wintergreen now. Debating on taking 1 more trip this weekend. Not sure how much melting will occur over the next few days

Looking at the web cams at Massanutten Resort: Webcams they seem like in bad shape, they also moved the other terrain park near lift 4.

Well I went to the last day of the season and it was great. It snowed early in the morning and lasted until the afternoon and hardly anyone was even there. The weather report said it was supposed to rain and get up to 60, well that didn't happen.

The first picture was taken around 9:30 the other two pictures were in the early afternoon.

Seasons passes just went on sale 10% off for the full and student pass if you get them by a certain date. The limited pass isn't discounted but its the same price as last year and will be the one I'm getting. I hate going to that place during the daytime on Saturday since it's too packed so the limited works the best for me.

Unfortunately, I can only make it up on the weekends most of the time. Unless I get a few days off here and there. In December and end of Feb to March it's not too bad, but in Jan and most of Feb, it can get pretty packed. Especially holiday weekends - it's terrible. I just stay in the park or on the blacks. If you head down to the lodge on those busy weekends, except to be waiting in line for like 20 mins just to get back up to the top. They need more lifts or more slopes.

This is my local hill every weekend. Bus groups from Chicago. On the holiday weekends where Chi-town doesn't have school ouch. I will just ride early morning or late evenings. This is where the pass and knowing your hill pays off. Come and go when you want and you learn the crowds.

I will often brave the crowds as long as possible if I am there during peak riding times. Riding is riding
