PSA: 4th and 5th graders Board for free in PA

Just an FYI for any Parents of 4th or 5th graders
they can board for almost free.
This has to be one of the best bargains ever. for $30 you get at least 3 passes to each of the listed mountains in PA. Kid has to be in either 4th or 5th grade. you fill out application and send in a photo. they send you back a boolet with coupons for each resort. It also includes a free rental and lesson for kid, and discount for adult lesson and rental.
My son and I took advantage of this last year and it saved us $$$$, as well as giving us incentive to try different resorts.:yahoo::yahoo:
The new application for is located at this link

I believe NY also has a similar program

Ski PA - PSAA - 4th/5th Grade Programs

if only they had a version for adults :)

Butternut in the Berkshires of MA has 5th graders free every non holiday weekend Sunday. Next year I have to decide if I get him a pass or not.

That's a pretty sweet deal! I'll pass this along to my cousins and nephews. Thanks!

Its like crack...get them addicted to the powder early...its what responsible parents do. Baker does the 5th grade thing. Back when my daughter did it, they gave the kid a 10 pass punch card good for anytime, her crew had to ask for another punch card.

a hill about an hour away from us
Kids under 12 ski free. This is how I could afford to get my kids into this sport. It was so worth it. Saved even more by picnicking our lunches. Made a whole day of it. We had a blast.

Nothing wrong with taking advantage of good deals to learn or experiment with a sport or resort.
