I've never been there so I can't speak to what the conditions are like, but Massanutten, VA is under 4 hours from Norfolk. It looks really small, but better than nothing I guess? My husband likes Wintergreen as far as small hills go.

Wintergreen and Massanutten are 3.5 hrs from Norfolk. Both resorts are somewhat small. They each have a handful of fun and challenging trails. It's definately worth the drive if you want to ride.
Snowshoe is 5.5 hours and is much better then WG/ Mass. Much more open terrain and is arguably the best resort on the east coast. It also has the best trail- Cupp Run. Of course, this quality comes with a bigger pricetag. The Lynchburg place is a bust. It does not even compare to WG/ Mass. |
