That makes two of us. I'm not sure when I'm heading back up there but when they get in a favorable weather pattern I'm making a break for it.

Didn't make it in February (turned out to be for the better, they had to close all the lifts that weekend!).

Looks like I'm leaving Wednesday night. Pretty significant system moving through, should be dumping moderate amount of snow for about 36 hours beginning sometime Tuesday.

Not sure what its like up there, but I'm considering heading up on Friday night from Chicago to try to get one last weekend of Midwest riding in.

Sunburst is doing a spring jam event 4/26 and 4/27. Tyrone's basement is doing their bonus spring jam next weekend, 4/18 and 4/19. Those are a lot closer to Chicago. I'm not saying don't go to Bohemia, only that this winter isn't over just yet

No idea what current local conditions are at Boho. I imagine springtime is well under way but they did get 15" of snow last Friday. I would expect spring slush conditions for the most part, hopefully it doesn't get too cold overnight, and the sun stays out to soften the crud during the day.

Also, in case anyone else stumbles upon this thread and is looking for more info about Bohemia, here is my review/trip report:

Time to revive this thread. Slyder, some of his people, and myself are hitting Boho from 1/20-1/25 this year. Slyder got a cabin or a yurt, I'm staying in the hostel. Pretty damn pumped!

David Z is going up the week before us. Damn would have been great to meet up and ride with him and his buddies as well....

Kids will be opening some of their Mt B xmas gifts today. G-parents, aunts & uncles helping make this possible as stocking stuffers for the kids.

We got the top half of the cabin.

Like Deacon said getting excited.
We will be there Jan 21 - Jan 25 if anyone cares to join in the fun for a day, the weekend or the whole trip. All are welcome, the more the merrier *fitting with today being Christmas*

My trip isn't confirmed yet actually if it's up to me i may postpone. Its just been too warm and dry and MLK weekend seems like it's not going to be very deep...or at least not enough to warrant a 10h drive.

Where's that cabin located? ?

Dave were the weekend after that but nothing I can do. I had to schedule a weeks vacation in advance, and the kids are off part of that week of school cabin is booked/paid for. So we are crossing our fingers and doing the cold/snow dance. We'll have to make the best of it.
Damn it's nearly 48 and rain here right now I was going to ride last night but didn't....should have.

As to the cabins. I never got a straight answer from MtB. They are a shuttle ride away from the yurts. You could walk but its a hike. I think they are on the lake??? they say its just a few minutes on the shuttle bus, and that they will have the shuttles running to take us to/from the cabin to the commons yurt. We, I, wanted a little amenities, and quite. Still want the kids to experience the vibe everyone enjoys here, but they are still HS kids and I'm still a parent. So blending that without sheltering

Dave the added photo I think is actually where the cabins are. Kinda farther than I hoped but I waited to long to book. All is well we are there for the riding and will make the best of it !

From this image best I can figure and only real decent map of the "whole resort" they would be near the mailboxes on the map. I think that is where the lake starts. You would possibly know better than I having been there. Even if we have to jump into the truck a few times to drive up to base camp not an issue. I just didn't want to drive *any* distance to get to the resort. Not ski in/out but very close to it. If we go next year we may do the yurt thing as it does sound pretty cool !

Keeping your fingers crossed and if your weekend gets pushed back a week to coincide with ours SWEeeeeetttt
