Default Meet-n-Greet?? Milw/Chi-town regional folks??

Hi gang,

I have been on the forum for a few years now. Many of you have gotten to know me through my adventures of an "Old Gummer" trying to learn park and my riding with my kids. I have meet several fellow members and become friends with and ride with as often as we can. I have meet many more on-line that we haven't actually gotten the chance to ride with...yet

So I was wondering if anyone was interested in a meet-n-greet at Alpine Valley in East Troy WI, my local hill, closest decent hill to Chicago and easy to get to and most southeast WI ppl know it or have been there.

I was thinking of Black Friday or any other day possibly after the holidays that a group of us can figure a date would work to meet each other and ride?
I know Black Friday is kinda a bad day as many ppl travel to see family. I always used it as a day my kids and I took a special day trip to the ski hill. That said, I believe a day after that would work better....I will still be riding there that day so if your bored and want to ride on a low crowd day hit me up !!!

Back to the event, let me know if:
  1. you'd be interested
  2. what kinda date works
  3. how many ppl in your group/party (not sure this matters, just thought I'd ask
  4. would you want to grill out, put some burgers/dogs on grill pass a dish, have a PBR or 2....
  5. I can contact the hill for a group rate to see if I can work something out there. I know a bunch of ppl there not sure I can get a better group rate or any perks but worth asking, might harm our chances hahahaha

I thought with all the west coast guys hooking up and meeting fellow riders some of us guys that "ride what we got" can get the chance to meet up, ride, and make new friends. So any thoughts, feel free to post them up.

I think this would be awesome! And a monthly get together would be cool too. Love the tailgating idea!

1) Definitely interested.
2) Not sure what dates would work yet, my schedule is pretty busy for the next few weeks and since I have a pass at GP I'm up there most free weekends. Keep us posted and I'll do my best to make it work.
3) Can't make any commitments at this point, but I've got some mke area buddies who would probably be interested.
4) Grilling and PBRs: Hell yes.

My GF and I might be able to make it. I haven't been to Alpine yet, but I hope to make it after work a few time this year. My GF doesn't like to go as often, so I might be able to squeeze a few extra nights that way.

Hey Kawicivic where you located Rockford?? I got a few days at AV already. Early season is a blast NO crowds and for there that is huge. Park is pretty good already. I didn't make it today but I should be there the majority of tomorrow. My kids are going, my daughter wants to go and a few buddies will be there differing times of the day. Today weather was perfect I just couldn't get in the mood,,,, not sure why.

During Dec I don't ride many weekdays. After that I will start more week days. So if your free and want to ride tomorrow head on up, over, down, to, what ever it takes to get there

Still got your number. I'm planning to be there until about 3:30 then we gotta leave for a family function. I'll be in a Red Columbia jacket with gray trim, white helmet, blue pants. DC board. My son will be with me. We'll be all over because my gf and her daughter will be in the beginner area, and my club (Windy City Boarders) will be in the park and adjacent runs. Looking forward to meeting you, and whoever else comes!
