I still lurk on this thread as I graduated from MSU and lived in the Metro-Detroit area until just about 9 months ago.

Pics and the whole project look awesome though - wish that would have been there when I was still in school.

Rail Jam yesterday was a good time. We brought in lots of cash for the snow park AND I got my first chance at hitting a rail. On my first try I hit the rail with my body instead of my board though, hahaha

I did end up hitting it though after the second and third try. It's funny, after that moronic crash on my first try I wasn't scared anymore and I was just like LET'S DO THIS!

You killed it man, Just goes to show that if you want to do something, you can do it. It may be scary at first, but then you do it and find out that it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be. Keep slaying rails!! Jon T

Not yet but we're pushing hard for this to be world class. Ryan Neptune is letting us take a lot of stuff from O-Club up in Otsego, a bunch of our guys also know how to build their own.

We'll have a bunny park, intermediate and advanced park and also a cruiser run.

We're working on getting a quarterpipe in along the bottom to funnel people back towards the tow ropes too.

I dig 'em too. We're selling them for $20 and that will include membership into HIASOC.

Hawk Island Action Sports Operational Committee.

People that buy in will have access to all of our plans and discussions about what we're trying to bring to the park.

Technically HIASOC is just an organized group of interested citizens, a special interest group. We're working on becoming a recognized organziation that's an arm of the Friends Ingham County Parks.

That rail jam last weekend was basically us ringing the door bell and introducing ourselves to the community and the people in charge and showing them what we can do.

Ill be downstate the 23rd. I get out of school a few weeks before Christmas.

I don't have a passport or an enhanced license yet so its kind of out the question to go then anyways.
