Alright everyone since Summer is over, fall has just begun and we've already had our first rail jam of the year, it's time to start a new thread for the 10/11 winter.

Last year we had the "Southeast" michigan thread, but I think we should do all of Michigan. Sure, most of population lives in S/E michigan but we all ride the same resorts in the LP and even the UP if we get a chance, so we should have one thread to bring everyone together.

Cheers everyone we're probably only like 70 days from open resorts!

Most of the single bettys are around 20. If you can pull it off I say go for it.

Having kids I'm guessing you're a little older. If you want to be on the hill you best consider a skier woman. Heck single ones that love the snow aren't that common...
Be like me, ride with your girl every weekend.

Yeah, I'm slowly picking up gear. Daughter outgrew her pants, so I'm on that. I'm debating a new pair of boots- I have 2013 or 2014 DC Judges and I really like them, but some days they feel too small. It's weird.

I've also had a wandering eye for another snowboard, which I don't really need but...

Even if I were to buy one, I have no idea what I should go for- do I get one to replace the one I have or do I get one specialized for something?

I dunno. I'll prolly sit on my hands and do nothing.

I kinda want another jacket. I guess I just want to buy something is what I'm saying.

If you decide to get Bella into it this year, Autumn's size 2 snowboard boots are too small for her now.

Dave I don't know if you might be interested in those too. I'd let em go for cheap, like 20 bucks. Obviously too big for your little gal now, but for the future.

I assure you these are wild and we have to fool them into gun range, then hit them.
Getting up at 4:00AM to get the best spots. Every weekend. 2 months straight.

You should see what they look like marinated on the grill, served with wild rice, asparagus.

If you ever come to Boyne I grill duck breast almost every weekend at the 1/2 way house. We shoot around 150 a year so there's plenty of meat to share.

If your'e in Lansing I used to hunt them at Dobie Lake and the Looking Glass river when I was at State. Starving college student eating like a king.

And yes the wild birds have no fat, pure dark meat. Very similar to Filet Mignon. Geese are also spectacular.

Jesus, November can't get here fast enough. I've been sitting at home watching snowboard movies every night and am dying over here!

Chomps, are you riding this year? If so, we gotta meet up man.

We should all do a proper Michigan meetup this year.

That's the plan anyway,..! I'm going to be short on funds to do much in the way of my usual travel up north. Also, I don't have any vacation time accrued because of being on WC for 10 months. So I may be limited to a couple 3 day weekends and maybe an "extended" bout of the "Flu" :embarrased1: ;) to stretch one of those weekends to four days.

I'm hoping I can swing the 2 days vaca I do have to use either for Slyder's BoHo meet in Jan. (...Sab, you really should Think about going!) :D. Or maybe string them together with the few Personal days I have, and see if I can't swing a trip out west. :dunno:

You bastahds better not do a Boyne meetup haha
Why not,..? It would sure beat the hell out of a Holly, Brighton, or PK meet! (....besides, Waxico has promised to procure the "Snowbunny's" for a Boyne meet!) :hairy: ;)

I've got the chance to ride Crested Butte this year with my buddy. Would only cost me air fare and a rental car. Rest is free. Trying to swing the trip.
Lots of issues in play but would be awesome to ride a real mountain before I retire !!!
