The Large french fry order was Lord of The Rings Epic. Smeagol had to be hiding in there with his precious. Too bad Sam chickened out on splitting a large with me. They were damn good fries too. The burger was an OBAMAnation (lot of promise, lack of delivery).

One thing about Cab, all the damn walls are on the left side. I want my walls to be on my right so I can do proper spinny things off of them.

ah, I went in that building by the way. Right before we left. Yeah, it was weird. Like going back in time or something. They had the fireplace going and teens were hanging out in there. Smelled funny as hell. They had some sort of food service appearance but I don't know if they actually use it. The pop fountains looked busted or opened for cleaning or something.

Basically that building either needs to be razed OR they need to re-purpose it into a museum of ski days gone by because they had a lot of really cool old signs on the wall. Turn it into a little museum type attraction, pull out the kitchen or whatever that was. Remove the picnic tables so it's not a lounging place. Just make it an homage to days gone by if they're not going to burn it down. hah

It wasn't that I couldn't handle it, I just didn't have cash, just credit and didn't wanna have to deal with finding cash in my car and all that. I almost bought them myself with my card (and would have split with you) but I was feeling pizza.

Also I always feel this urge to eat every damn fry and holy man...haha

Hey Guy's,

I managed to get three or four hours on the hills last night after getting to Crystal. Snow was pretty good. Dry, fine, not too terribly hard underneath. The softer stuff is WAY easier to carve a turn in. I think maybe the AW wax I just got on my board might be making it slower in this cold, dry snow though. (I don't really know the first thing about wax so I'm not sure!) Doesn't look like it will matter much! It's in the teens right now, but the forecast is to hit the mid forties later!!! (REALLY??? REALLY!?!?!?!? Mid Forties in Freakin" Feb????) Maybe even freezing rain tonight! Hope not!

One thing though, WTF is with the leash law???? Almost got booted off the hill. This is the only place I've been to that I even heard about a leash? Oh well, shelled out $7 for something I will probably only use here. I'll have to remember to keep it somewhere where I won't forget it next time I make it up here.

I'm gonna get ready to go get first chair.

I keep the leash attached to my binding for show but it's never attached to me. I know Dave does the same thing.

So tomorrow is February and Lansing hasn't had a blanket of snow on the ground for three days in a row yet this season. We have had 3 snow events. All of them less than 6 inches. One was around 5 inches and the other two were around 3 inches. All of them culminated with green lawns within the week.

No snow days for the city schools. Not a one.

I can count the number of days I scraped my windows in the morning on one hand. I'm not even remotely close to exaggerating.

Sledders have had at best 6 days of the entire winter where there was enough snow to slide down the hill.

Cross country skiers have gotta be hurting. I know the resorts and jobs related to the snow sport industry are hurting. (snow shoes, snowmobiles, ski, snowboard, snowblade, ice fishing, etc)

Some people are thrilled with the bad weather. Meanwhile the snow industry and tourism suffers.

It's not just a resort rule, it's actually a law in Michigan. :P

Yep clip one end to my binding and the other end to - you guessed it - my binding. I never actually use it properly.

There's some rightside banks on upper Easy Street before it breaks off in to Monty's otherwise you just have to do alley-oop spinny things on the leftside banks :P
