Alright everyone since Summer is over, fall has just begun and we've already had our first rail jam of the year, it's time to start a new thread for the 10/11 winter.

Last year we had the "Southeast" michigan thread, but I think we should do all of Michigan. Sure, most of population lives in S/E michigan but we all ride the same resorts in the LP and even the UP if we get a chance, so we should have one thread to bring everyone together.

Cheers everyone we're probably only like 70 days from open resorts!

You & Dave are further into the season than most of the rest of us. ?‍♂ We been riding in marginal conditions down here in SE MI. Not much to post about yet.

Meanwhile, you two are hiking pow & riding Cabs Backcountry up north. ???

Well, this new site format has me all confused ?. Due to busy fall work schedule and getting the dreaded flu(8 days of doing nothing), I haven't even sniffed any snow yet . I am planning on hitting Cabby on Xmas day, just want to get my season started and get some muscle memory going ?. Chomps, I hope all is well with you and Happy Holidays to all!

If I'm reading the weather reports correctly, Cabby has a good chance of 7 in. and Harbor Springs area could be in the 9 in. range by Sunday night. Still some uncertainties with this snow event, especially where the lines are drawn for each different precip type.
I will diffidently be monitoring this event for a Sunday or Monday visit at a nlp resort. I got a set of new tires on truck and am wanting to test them out in different conditions.

Two sons involved in school winter sports has really hampered my ability to get out this season but made reservations for Caberfae 3/20-3/22. Hoping the snow is good. Going to stay in one of Cabbie's new rooms with the king-sized bed. Based on the photos it looks like Caberfae updated the lodging.

Has anyone been there this season? It's been a couple years since I have been up there.

Well, looks like my snow season is over. All UT resorts have temporarily closed as of yesterday with MI following today.
Looking like my trip to visit brother in SLC at end of the month will not happen this season.
Glad I was able to get to Cabby last Thurs. and Boyne Mtn on Fri. for the last rides of season. Cabby was wide open with only 15-20 cars in lot and Boyne was cold with 15-20 mph winds, I only lasted 2 1/2 hrs. in windy conditions.

Correction, as of Mar. 15th Powder Mtn. UT is open with limited tix sales, limited food options and controlled excess to rental area.

FYI: For those who buy a pass at Holl, PK, Bittersweet

NEW This Year - you can choose to buy a Mt Holly ONLY pass or a Multi-Area Pass that includes: Pine Knob, MI; Mt Holly, MI; Bittersweet, MI; Alpine Valley Resort, WI; Searchmont, ON. $580

It appears that Bittersweet is not offering that option, if you are interested you could make the trip east to get your pass.
