I went to Caberfae for the weekend, it was perfect conditions for progression. I attempted and landed my first kicker;



This is that kicker under the Quad lift at Caberfae, right along The Canyon/Upper Lift Line.

So I didn't attempt any grabs or anything fancy. I'm sure it will come but right now it's like everything is happening so fast that I don't have time to think about anything except staying balanced and landing.

To tell you the truth, you should work on at least an indy grab. Practice off small hips. Suck your knees up and let the board come to your hand. Once you get used to this and then move it to a kicker, you'll notice you are a lot more stable when you do a simple grab. It prevents your arm from rolling the windows.

I don't think I can grab indy on flat ground. I'm incredible inflexible right now. I need to work on that.

Find bigger hips like the one Dave and I were 360ing on. You'll see a video soon (Dave did a 180 in it and I did a failed 360). You can also do it on those smaller table-top jumps. If you can bend at the knees, you can do an indy. If I get out again, I'll start hitting them with you. Haven't hit a kicker since Jan. Been working on my box riding and 180's this season. Need to get back on kickers before I lose it.

Dude you're making me feel giddy about getting out again.

I know you're most likely done BUT just in case something breaks on your end, we're planning to get up north maybe Friday/Saturday (March 9/10).

Maybe the Boyne/Nubs area, maybe Crystal. We dunno yet.

I'll be in Cali Mar 8-15. Going to Bear Mt at least once while there.

Niiiice. The end of the season is working out good for you.

This was an "almost"... not a bail but just didn't complete the jib. The approach is pretty sketch. You used to be able to come at this from the opposite side and it was much easier to hit, but the log broke. Which is cool because now it's like a log cannon in the middle of the woods. Must do it again next week!

That spin thing you do to get into switch and back to regular is badass. I love how that looks at speed. Next season I need to learn that.
