Yeah it is POV footage though hard to tell perspective on the drop but I think taking from this lip over the fence it was a good 6-7 foot drop the landing was pretty flat but there was enough pow to do it.

sounds like you guys all had a sick wknd! timed that out nicely with the snowstorm. so now we can start the predictions of when mt holly and pk will close. lots of 40s and 50s in the 15 day forecast. i think as long as we don't get a lot of rain we still may have 2 full weeks left. at least thats what i'm hoping! spring riding conditions!!!

Brighton is closed all week hoping to re-open for the weekend. I think we will see this at PK/MTH, too. Even when they have good snow years, these hills usually close due to lack of turnout, not due to lack of snow. If they are open beyond this weekend, I think it will only be due to St. Patrick's Day happening on the following Saturday.
On a positive note, that foot of snow that dropped all over NW Michigan was good base-building snow that will allow all these places to stay open through their scheduled closing dates in early April, I won't be able to take advantage of it but hopefully some of you guys can. I'm thinking about day-tripping to Cannonsburg on Saturday. If PK is open I might ride there Thursday night but probably shouldn't...

I think it's kind of incredible that with the exception of early season at Brighton (spur of the moment decision) and that session at Holly with you guys that I've not touched the local hills this season.
Everything has been up north. Can't wait to buy a pass.

Hopefully we can ride with you more next season Sam. It's been very fun the few times we have.
I'm happy I was able to ride with Dave a ton this season. Our schedules finally meshed this time around. |

You know I'm totally down for it. Hopefully the kiddos won't keep you too busy and the schedules will mesh better.
Speaking of, I expect I'll be getting a little board or something for Bella next season. I won't waste time bringing her to a resort but I'll get her on the little hills around town and get her used to riding on snow.

That's my plan with Dylan too. Going to do some small hills around the local parks so he gets the feel for being on a board. Something tells me he's going to be hooked. He's already a little dare-devil.
