You know what Sam? I don't recognize where either of those runs are. Those weren't the runs I was thinking. They look fun!
Man, that jump did look very long haha. Tree riding is a skill that you have to learn over time. You have to do a lot in the trees... paint brush turns, dynamic skidded, hop turns, nose lifts (to avoid buried branches), etc... I'm still not super fast in the trees yet, but I'm getting better each time I ride them. |

That gap was ridiculous and the jump wasn't that big. I dunno if it was bad design or just really slow snow. I can tell you that Mike (the guy ahead of me) didn't even try to clear the jump and he's a billion times better than me.

Saturday is going to be a game-time decision I think. C-burg is not a bad drive but it'/s still 2.5 hours give or take and if the conditions locally are acceptable (no black gunk of death?) then I would prefer to stay at MTH and maximize my riding time rather than spend 5 hours in a car...

yeah almost like a manny pad or butter pad. you use the lip just to get a little air and then do ground tricks or small air tricks on to the table.

But it dips and then you have the knuckle.
It wasn't a table, it was a valley. See the attachment and behold my paint skillz *edit The lip was more rounded towards that valley so you could just ride the little dip if you wanted instead of jumping it.

oh then it was gap jump, or it was just a bad table. that wouldn't surprise me.

Everyone up north got hit with 15-18" of snow last weekend night (March 2-4). That built up some awesome base for them. It was warmer this week I think, but there should still be plenty of snow I'd expect the hills to be ~90% of terrain open, parks should all be open, what will most likely be lacking is any gladed/off-piste terrain which suffers the most because they can't groom it.
FYI they are doing Krazy Daze at Boyne Mountain this weekend, place is probably sold out and will be a wild party, although I hear the slopes are usually pretty empty since everyone is busy drinking beers instead of skiing/riding. IMO as long as it isn't raining, it would be a great way to cap off your season up there. Wish I could join you
