Hey all,

Haven't had much time to do more than check in on the posts here. Been pretty busy since I got back from Boyne last week. Looks like a few of you got to enjoy the one big dump of this year. I don't have anything as interesting as some of the park footage Dave_z & others have posted, but here's some footage of me getting to enjoy some "Real" snow from Friday nights storm.

It was an "Awesome" weekend!

(...I'm already going thru some SERIOUS, "Post season Depression"!!) I WANT MORE!!!!!!!

Was that this weekend or last weekend?

If you can travel, there's a few more weeks up north they'll be open and then Boyne usually does a spring meet-up like April ~15 or thereabouts. I've never attended and can't make it this year, but if you're looking to get one more fix you've got a few more weeks to make that happen

I haven't put together my videos from that storm still.

...I was planning on calling in sick this friday and heading to Carnival @ Boyne, but it looks like they're going to get rain up there. I could deal with 50-60 degree temps & corned up snow,.. but boarding in the rain sounds like it "Sucks"!!

We'll see I guess. This "Obsession" may just overpower my common sense!

Yeah, I'm pretty happy about that! I'm doing a LOT of my runs riding switch the whole time. Leo's advice to widen my stance seems to have helped. Opened it up from 19-1/2 inches,.. (I could have sworn I was riding a little wider than that) to about 22 inches now. Feels better all the way around.

Now if I can just get the chance before this season is over to see if that helps with my stability and sticking my landings when popping off of some small bumps & such?

forecast in Petoskey area looks halfway decent, I guess some showers possible on Saturday but other than that looks like sunny & clear for the most part.

I just re-checked the forecast for Harbor springs & Boyne Mnt. NOW they aren't calling for rain over the weekend, but all week they have showers forecast & ALL the temps are going to be 50+ and none of the low's look to get anywhere near freezing over night. Won't that Really "F" up the snow?? You guy's have more years of experience riding thru different snow & weather conditions than I do,.. do you really think it'll be worth the time??

yeah it will really F up the snow just stay on the steeper trails, use some red (warm weather) wax rated for 26F+ and you'll be OK . If not, just drink beer.

Here's my edit from the snowmageddon on March 3.

First real attempt making a full POV edit. Didn't bother with any color correction or that jazz, just put the clips together as best I could. Wish I would've had more pole footage from the GoPro since it is superior cam to the Contour, but lugging that pole around is a pain in the ass. And it doesn't fit in the trees very well.
