In the trees you'd have to keep the pole directly in front of you, holding it in your lead hand. It'd make cool footage but I could see it being a distraction.

Yeah you can do the pole in front, but it is one more thing to worry about especially in the tight trees. Mostly, I just got tired of carrying that damn pole around after a few runs and put it back in the condo. I wish someone would make a pole that retracts to about 6" long that way I could just put it in my cargo pocket.

The Drift mount I had folded to 6 inches, I kept it in my pocket (until I forgot to zip that pocket closed).

It was a bit shorter than I was happy with though, so...

did you see $5 park pass at Nub's on 3/25? I can't make it, and even if I could that's a hell of a drive just to get a few more park laps in but in a non-expecting-baby year I probably would go just for the hell of it.

yea man i got it out last wknd already! that $5 park pass at nubs sounds pretty legit. i'm tryin to figure out plans for the wknd. i was supposed to go up to Boyne but i'm not sure its happenin now. sux cuz this looks like it might be the best wknd for spring riding and i have a feeling the resorts up north are gunna be forced to close early if this 70 degree weather keeps up. i want at least one more ride so i gotta start thinking...

I was going to try one last desperation trip up on Friday since I don't think things will be favorable the following weekend but I decided just to let it go and look forward to next season.

I could use the money savings and the extra sleep anyways.

I hear ya, I'm hoping to go to Shanty creek this weekend. I was going to go during that massive snow storm we had, but they actually lost power to their mountain because of it Hopefully it doesn't rain. Regardless it will be interesting to ride in 65+ weather. I never have rode in any temp above probably 45, so this will be interesting!
