Alright. Got my Brothers in Arms NS today. Time to strap on the 390's and wait for some snow. At least alpine or pine nob soon I hope. I want to ride it a few times before my January trip to Stevens (39" last night, holy crap) and Baker.

Well, NLP didn't get the snow that everyone was saying we were going to get last night. Got 3-6 inches coming and a blizzard warning in effect for the area,.. Oh, right about the time I'll be driving home!!!

I don't know if it I used up my legs thurs. & fri. riding the shitty conditions but,..

...I SUCKED yesterday!!!! Just couldn't seem to stay off my ass! & on EASY SHIT TOO!! (...I wasn't confused over the crashes on the icy steep stuff, but the easy shit, & on the runnout to the lift???)

I Couldn't ride switch worth a fuck all day, even riding regular, It seemed like I wasn't fully in control & was always on the verge of catching an edge, caught myself riding in the backseat a half dozen times!!! WTF???? I even managed to somersault myself on an easy switch, toe side turn!! Lucky I didn't slam my head! (...altho I'm always "brain-bucketed"!)

Nose dug into some softer shit at the start of the turn, next thing you know the back of my shoulders r bouncing off the deck, me & the board go up & over and somehow I end up on my knees facing uphill! I did a complete back flip!! No part of me in contact with the snow until touchdown!!!

I felt like I was riding better, faster & with WAY more control on that icy cement they had @ Alpine, first day out this season!! Again I ask,.. WTF????

This was not a great weekend,.. but hey!!!! At least I'm riding???

just booked flight to CO in March... gonna be Jay29's first time out west.

Hoping I can squeeze out a few mid- to late-March days up north in MI after we get back (March 11) just so I'm not ending the season so early.

Flights are retarded cheap right now on Southwest you can get them for $85 each way if you don't mind taking either the first flight in the morning (630am) or the last flight in the evening (730pm).

We're flying in on the late flight Thursday 3/7, landing Denver at 830pm, puts us in Breck by 11pm, get a full night of sleep, and then shred all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and most of Monday. Flying home on the late flight Monday, departs Denver at 650pm.

Since we have to fly home Monday, I'm thinking we'll end up at A-Basin or Loveland that day so we have a shorter drive to the airport in the afternoon.

I would've preferred another day or two --- even taking the early flight on Thursday would give us an extra day on the slopes but "responsible Dave" has to think about leaving wife hone alone with a 10-month old. 4 days seemed reasonable to me whereas 6 days did not

I hear ya Dave. My 4 day trip to PNW in January is my one shot this year. Leaving wife with a 3yr old and 10mths prego.

Im hoping to run into some of you guys this season. Ill keep posting when Im able to hit a slope.

Unfortunately I was right in thinking resorts around here would not be open until 3rd week in Dec.
