Sam - lodging is TBD but there seems to be an abundance of options due to (over)development in Summit County.

If you're interested in going, book the flight & let me know, I haven't booked any lodging yet, so there's basically room for whoever wants to go within reason (it's hard to find lodging for more than 8 ppl but right now I only have 2-3 confirmed, although I'm expecting 2-3 more).

We may end up teaming up with my friend Mike and his crew of 3-4ppl to get a huge house, but if "we" is 6+ ppl we'll probably just get our own place and hook up with them on the slopes/apres.

I cancelled my plans for Big Sky last year, wife would've been ~8mos at the time, she said it was fine for me to go but I figured it's better safe than sorry and just went up north that week instead.

they already opened once !!!

Defo keep on the forum we all kinda use this to communicate who's riding when & where. I'll probably be doing a lot of early AM sessions on weekends, or late evening sessions (8-11p on Friday?) this year.

Naw, its not like that. I work 12hr shifts two days on two days off. Then two on three off, so every other weekend and during the week im off to take over the house. Wife works from home so on my off days I have the boy and shopping and cleaning and all that. That and she's pretty cool about stuff like this. I gave up two golf leagues and most of my boarding in the winter when my son was born.

Dave, Sabatoa, Sounds like you guys got a great trip ahead of ya!

So, It looks like it's supposed to snow ALL week up @ Boyne Highlands! (...I left @ noon today & the snow did hit just in time for the drive!) I'm givin' some serious thought to heading up again next Sat. am., home Sun. evening! If by Wed., Thur. the forecast is still dealing out daily snow up yonder? I think I'll just have to go. I felt like I was riding better, faster & with WAY more control on that icy cement they had @ Alpine, first day out this season!! Again I ask,.. WTF????

This was not a great weekend,.. but hey!!!! At least I'm riding???

where did you ride? I was at nubs today and the snow was pretty good. Once it started dumping around 2 putting some soft stuff down things got even better!! Didn't look like too many were at highlands today.

You can get a veto ticket for this weekend as it wasn't real snow you were on

Yeah, someone at the motel told me Nub's was pretty good on Sat. (...dude was a skier so not sure if what's "good" for him is necessarily the same for boarders?) So I was considering getting my last 3-4 hours in over there Sun. morning, but I had my board checked overnight @ highlands & when I picked it up, I thought as long as I was there, I'd take a run or 2 before going across the street.

Anyway, the conditions were better Sun than they were thur thru sat & nobody checked my lift ticket from Sat. so I got to ride for free those last 3 hours. (...figured they owed me for wasting half a day @ B. Mnt. on fri.) Nub's would have been another $40 for just a couple hours!

I'm still considering a "Quicky" overnighter up that way next weekend. Have to wait & see if the 7 day forecast for cold & snow holds!

Hopefully it stands up and they can keep the guns going everywhere. I think I might do a day trip to Nubs or Highlands again this Sat if everything keeps looking this good.

20 years ago!

Do they still sell the msia gold card? Give you one lift ticket to about 20 or so hills in michigan.

And yes... 39"s at stevens saturday was insane! Over 100 on the ground now..january can be hit or miss. Sometimes it gets the same january thaw as the midwest. The month to be at stevens is march.
