[QUOTE=chomps1211;553840]Hey Guys,
Found out I won the WiredSports Rome Garage Rocker X-Mas stoker!!! ...and to say the least, ...I'M STOKED!!! ![]() Longest one they had was 159cm. It's a Flat-rocker board and since I've only been learning/riding my Arbor 163W Cambered deck, I was wondering if there's anything in particular I should "get a clue" about before I ride this board for the first time? (...not even sure if with a Rocker'd Board, If I should've gone with something shorter than 159?) I presume it's going to feel a bit "squirrelly" by comparison? Looser in the straights kinda thing? The specs for the board say I should be in the fit range for the 159 @ 6ft. 225-50 lb. It's going to be a softer flexing board? right? How's it going to compare in the turns on our wonderful MI Hard Pack? (...read slab ice!) I know some of you guy's, DaveZ, Leo, & some others I've read in our MI section ride a lot of different types of boards, and since this board would seem to be completely different than what I've been learning on, I was hoping you could give me a heads up or a Head start on anything important I should know b4 I slap it down on the snow! Thanks!! (...ps. I also asked them to ship some Winter along with the board!!!) [/QUOTEyour going to love rome boards i have a reverb wide and i love it to death and i garuntee that even if it wasnt free you would still love the board |

Anyone heading up Friday morning to Boyne? They're calling for 4-8" overnight Thursday.
I was thinking of going tomorrow but that barely seems worth it if they're getting fresh Thursday night...

Not this week. Of course. I'll be up there for a bunch of days starting the day after Christmas.

I don't know about Boyne Mountain but Highlands should be solid this weekend if that snow pans out. They have had a mini park open, 2-4 features. Most of the main runs in the middle of the resort have been open, no resort in the State has more terrain open right now.
Having said that, Nubs just started posting about opening their park so maybe you want to look into that.

Jay keep an eye on CM's snow report. Hopefully this storm system changes it for the better but this past weekend they literally had only 1.5 trails open (1 trail, 1/2 of a terrain park) and a bunny hill. If that's the case again and god-willing it's not, go to Cab instead. They were about 30% open this past weekend, a good snowfall and a few nights of colder temps they'll have all of the North peak open.
South peak was totally barren as of Monday. They need a lot of help from mother nature before they'll be able to open that side of things.

12-15+!!! Called before leaving work, got the room for Sat. & reserved the rental car. I was hoping that Wiredsport was near enough that the X-Mas Stoker board they shipped today might get here by Fri. but looks like their outta Oregon so UPS is NEVER gonna make that happen! Oh well, Need to get some fresh stuff under the Arbor anyway!!!Seriously, does anyone going have any 2 for 1 Lift ticket coupons they want to use to split the cost? (I've already got my room & car reserved for the long demo day weekend the 27th thru 30th @ Highland's! Anyplace I can save a buck now, is only to the good!) Anyway, I plan on being @ Highland's as early as possible Sat. morning, so seeya'all out there!
