Hello gents!

Okay so this goes back to before Art of Flight came out. I was trying to get the theater chain Celebration Cinema to show it, preferably on IMAX.

They tried but it didn't work out during the premier period.

BUT

They just sent me this email:

Good morning Sam! Happy New Year!

We are able to bring The Art Of Flight 3D to a couple of our theatres, via tugg.com, are you familiar?

The only challenge, these are specific theatres and one time only dates, one in Grand Rapids, at Celebration! Cinema South: Tugg - The Art of Flight: 3D in Grand Rapids, MI on Thursday, January 24, 7:30pm

And the other, in Kalamazoo/Portage: Tugg - The Art of Flight: 3D in Portage, MI on Wednesday, February 06, 7:30pm

And, the only way to ‘see’ the movie is to confirm attendance through these links, there must be a threshold met to be permitted to screen the movie (content of movie costs and shipping costs, etc.), so for example, in Grand Rapids, we need 80 guests to confirm, in Portage, we need 61 guests to confirm (4 have confirmed in Portage, 2 have confirmed in Grand Rapids).

We love working with tugg.com and hope that you might still be interested in attending? J If the threshold is not met, then the event is cancelled. What do you think?

So if any West Michigan peeps are interested in seeing AoF in 3D, this is your chance. I'll be signing up for two spots at the South Grand Rapids Celebration Cinema.

Ok, looks like I'm gonna b hitting PK solo today. I heard DaveZ might still b going, if so, look me up n say "hello!"

If it's stupid crowded n crazy with kids n little pink toddler missles out there, (...summa u guys know what I mean by that!)

I may bail for Holly later in the day.

Any other new local guys here that might b goin, look for the old fart in the tan n red burton pants riding a wood tray (Arbor board) or lime green Rome Rocker. Say hello if u are.

Time to RIDE!!!!

Chomps I think I saw you from the lift once but never saw you again after that. Hope you had a good day, the sun came out around noon and it was awesome.

Sorry I missed you. {did you wistle at me from the lift once?} I got there around 11, left around 4. It was nice once the sun broke thru! Not too crowded either. I went with both my boards and instead of juggling all my crap at the ticket counter, I went straight tto the board check first. Thing is,.. I forgot to buy a ticket!!! Just strapped in & shot down to the lift! Nobody checked me & I didn't even think about it till I was on my way home!! (...had last weeks ticket hangin' from my belt guess that was why?!!)

Since it only cost me gas goin' to PK today,.. I'm gonna go check out Mt. Brighton for the pm sesh tonight. Gotta see sometime if it's worth going there or not. I think they're 100% open. Well see what the rest of their runs are like,.. If it's not too shitty, it'll save me a ton of gas money!

(...I know you park guys deal with them a lot, but I HATE tow ropes!! They mess with the arthritis in my hands & wrists having to grip so hard! Got my glove guards tho, at least I won't be trashing my mitt's so there's that!)

Dave, glad you had a good time,.. sorry we didn't get to meet up at all. Next time shout out!!!!

Hope the gossip going around there about what Vail Properties plans to do with it turns out to be true! In a couple years it might be a "Bangin" place!

Yah we were there from like 1030 until just after 2. Wife's first time back on a board since before we had our daughter, she didn't get out at all last winter but fortunately she did *really* good, no edge catches, no hard slams just a few washouts and she had a great time so that's a win in my book.

Even the beginner park wasn't super crowded yesterday did a few laps there before I spent most of the second half of our day in the Timberline park. That park is ON POINT right now. Huge combo box feature like a flat-up-flat-down-flat that they made from sticking to boxes together, a wide diameter pipe feature that I'd never seen there before, two rails up top (shotgun & single barrel), the large down box up top, large flat box, a few flat bars with gaps, up-flat and another flat at the bottom with a stepup jump but the rad feature was their enormous rainbow rail perched on top of a massive hip. Kids were filming there most of the day so I kept out of their way.

I might try and skate out of work early on wednesday and check out Alpine Valley for a few hours in the early afternoon, before this warm front moves in and wrecks everything.
