@Sam: You'll be back bro. Like I've said, you rode more this season than I did a couple seasons ago and we had good snow that season. Plus your excuse is much better than mine.
I'm excited bro, we're going to have so much fun next season. Let's make that epic trip at the end of the season happen.

while we're sharing vids, here's a quick edit from two weekends ago. It's still a draft that I have to tighten up the editing a little bit and get some zoom on some of the shots, but figured I'd share anyways.

Wish we would've had the camera out yesterday despite the awful icy conditions I think we might've gotten some good shots.

this isn't me, but here's some of the features I have tried or am in the process of getting it down, up here at Searchmont. (about 1hr 20 mins north of highlands)

Going to be at the Highlands within the next 3 weeks, can't wait to see what they have together as I've only been to nubs so far this year.

You guys should consider a trip up if you have your passport, the terrain is longer and a little more challenging than the boynes.

I have heard good things about Searchmont (and bad things like it's frigid cold, but I can deal with that ) but unfortunately it falls in that realm of just far enough away that I can't really get away with the drive for a weekend, and if I'm going for longer than a weekend I usually try to head out West, but someday I would like to get up there & check it out. Unfortunately with a 9mo old daughter at home and a wife who's already getting slightly annoyed (but she does a good job of hiding it) at my addiction, it will not be this year.

Brad's looking smooth on his boxes, nice. Dammit that I didn't spend much time on that this season save for the one time at Hawk Island.

Honestly it's not really much colder than you'd be used to at Boyne, if that.

@ankkassa it was at searchmont resort, which is just north of sault ste marie michigan and ontario.

I've been out the past friday and saturday nights as we've been just pummelled with fresh powder

You know damn well either Searchmont or some pub nearby offers poutine. That alone makes the trip up there worth it.

so much better than having to order "fries with gravy" too.

Just make sure there's a good chunk open before you venture up. They have been running as a not for profit the past few years, so while it's awesome to support local, they don't have a massive snowmaking budget like the big boys
