Most definitely you win. We sometimes do separate vacations but luckily she likes skiing so this is something we can do together. It's a good thing too, since I burn up my "alone" time in the fall hunting and fishing.

We were lucky enough that when the boys were first born we were able to live up in Manistee for a year while I telecommuted to work. It cannot be overstated how nice it was to have family around that first year.

We're hoping to go out West to do a family ski/snowboard trip in a couple of years when the boys are a bit easier to manage. We've had our daughter out skiing a few times and she's already getting the hang out it. It'll be nice when everyone can go I think.

Caberfae, they've had a lot of snow up there this and last week. My friend was up there Monday and said the snow was awesome and I was just there on Saturday.

Yeah it's also too bad that Saturday is, like, the worst fucking day to ride out of the week. But gotta do it when you can.

Might head to Cannonsburg Saturday with my son (4yrs old) and get him either skiing or riding. He can make it down a hill by our house with a cheap plastic target board, so it's worth a shot.

I'll tell you what, you can be surprised by what they can do. Our daughter was 4 when we first took her to Caberfae last year and she didn't get it right away but she had fun. That was the most important part.

Last weekend we paid the 39 bucks (which included rentals and everything) for the 2 1/2 hour ski school. We left her alone for it and came back after a couple of hours and she was able to go up the tow rope and come down the bunny slope to a complete stop without any help whatsoever. And she didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Money well spent.

I am not sure if I am going to make it out there or not yet so I wouldn't take it. I am still debating it because I am trying to sell one of my old boards, and I still want to buy a contour roam2. To please my wife I need to sell some stuff first before I buy another board. What time will you guys be out there tomorrow?

aiming to leave here around 830 which puts us there somewhere between 1030 and 11 and staying until 3-4 or so. As long as the roads are good. If the roads are really bad though we will probably not make the drive.
