All us guys could do an old man dinosaur race on foot one of these days lol. Would be sweet to incorporate that into an edit of us all riding.

Trap, in reality, I'm not that small. Just skinnier than all you burly guys. Hopefully I can bulk up over the summer. Planning to get back into weights. Though even in my prime I was still skinny compared to big white and black guys.

Yeah my first thought when I met Leo was 'huh, he's pretty big for an Asian guy.' haha, true story. Him and his friend Ken are like Asian goons.

Again I'll just throw it out there that I'm hitting the gym good this summer including weights. As long as you're with me you can work out for free.

Yeah, the first time I never met Leo I was like "huh, he's an Asian guy?".

Sab I lift a few times a week on my lunch hour down at Oak Park Y. It's a bit of a hike from you but you're always welcome to tag along.

haha

I only do a half hour lunch so I can get out of here earlier but I appreciate the offer. I think it's only a 15 minute drive from my office though, it's not so far.

Doesn't it make you feel like "WTF?"

Being that we are MArtists, you'd think we have good cores. That's why I'm in love with the roller now.

I'm up to being able to roll out 20+ times. Even then, my arms are giving out rather than abs lol. I've seen people roll all the way out from standing position to a push up position and back. I fail miserably at that. I think only a select few athletes can do that haha.

I want to try it with a ball now.

Just keep at it. You'll notice the difference in your riding.

I'll even get on it this summer. I'm scheduled to be around 220 by mid July (yeah, I got it all mapped out lol) so that's when I'll begin core workouts. My back should be fine by then.

Check with your doc first Sam. It puts stress on your lower back.

Edit: I think I read somewhere its good for backs though. Not sure about injured spines though.

That's the way I tried it at first. Ha, that was impossible for me. I only managed a few off my knees but I'm going to keep doing it because I can feel the obvious benefits of it.

And let me also say that I would not really consider myself a martial artist at all. I worked out with those fighters a few years ago and now just stick with riding, lifting and the occasional rec league softball and basketball. So, I'm not expected ANYTHING out of my core strength at this point in my life, haha.
