yeah still planning on it... will be at brother-in-law's for the day on Saturday in Laingsburg. If the weather is bad I'll probably just drive 1h15 to Mt. Holly instead of 2h45 to Crystal, though.

You can buy a pass now, good Saturdays/Sundays, for only $99 good for the rest of the season. It's no Boyne, but it's a fuckload less expensive.

Board came. It's awesome and all, but man it really doesn't SEEM all that much stiffer than my old Burton Bullet. Granted, I'm sure I'll notice the difference when I actually ride it, but still....

Layer of wax cooling on it as we speak.

There's a point when all that strength makes everything seem noodly lol.

Also, remember the rocker is more pronounced in the middle on the NS. Its already bent for you in the direction you're flexing it.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it when you ride it. I will warn you to be conscious of your edges. That camber section can catch you when you're off guard.

Sam has seen me catch a phantom edge before.

I've caught literally 1 edge since I got the Legacy. I had a few close calls where it felt like I should have been thrown off but it never happened. It's the super mellow terrain that I don't really like riding with this board because of how much work it is to hold an edge when it's so looooooong and flat and boring.
