haha, clearly I don't need Boho to hurt myself.
I'm just being honest when I say that Boho is over my skill level right now. I can ride Michigan steeps just fine, I can do some glades and short drops but I'm not messing with steeps+trees+cliff drops. Not yet at least.

Or Atlanta. Not that you would want to go skiing in Atlanta. Just something that stuck in my head from my youth. "Just keep in mind if you want to go to Michigan Tech, you can go to University of GA in the same amount of time"

Sabatoa,
I kind of hope I can be there next year when you go out west. I obviously haven't met you ( yet) but to see your stoke after the first run would be awesome. I have a dificult time coming home when I am out there. the snow they bitch about out there is snow that we here in the mid west would sell a kidney to have on a regular basis. There is no place in the world I would rather be than Summit County Colorado. ( Okay, Jackson hole, Big Sky, Oregon, or Tahoe Will work too! )

I lucked out. My first trip out west to Tahoe was pow heaven. They had like 4' of snow days before we got there. Few inches throughout. Then on our last day... BOOM 2' an hour. Waist deep powder. And all the powder princesses stayed home that day so the mountain was empty. Visibility was low, but I didn't care. Fresh tracks every time we got back to the peak.
I'll never forget that day... Sent from Verticalsports.com Free App |

Leo,
My First trip to Colorado was that way. First day there, at A-basin it was snowing 15" per hour. Then we got 6 or 7" every day we were there. It was awesome. I haven't been that lucky sense. but I will take shitty Mountain snow over Indiana and Michigan snow anyday! |

Not to be "that guy" but I think you guys are mixing up your numbers or something... I don't even think it is possible for it to snow 15" per hour or 2' per hour.
The record for most snowfall in one 24 hour period was in CO with 75.8" in 1921. The record I can find for highest snowfall rate is as follows: 2.4" in 15 min. - Oswego NY (1/26/1972) 4.8" in 30 min. - Oswego NY (1/26/1972) 9.1" in 60 min. - Oswego NY (1/26/1972) And that is because of lake effect snow. 2" per hour coming down is a LOT of snow. |
