Welp, I (well me and everyone else that pushed it) got them to open up Adventure Cubs this weekend. One class, 10-6pm for $62 (food, rental, lesson).

So that helps my niece.

No classes for 3 year olds so they gave me a private lesson for half price, $34.50/hour plus rental.

Eh, whatever. I'm doing it anyways.

Cool, maybe I'll give them a call then tomorrow if we decide to sign up our daughter. Thanks for the info and whatever part you played in changing their minds.

Sab, did I read that right, 10-6 pm? They never usually run it that late so I want to be sure you had that right.

oh! Apologies. It's 10-4pm.

I wrote 6 because in my head I was thinking about how it's 6 hours long.

Sandy at Crystal said lunch/rental/lesson/snack is included.

My niece is a small 6 years old, she'll be in the class.

OK glad I clarified that. If we sign our daughter up, she will possibly be in the same group as your niece, depending on experience level. She just turned 6 as well.

Good Guy Crystal with the hookup! I forgot my pass last weekend... not only did they not charge me the "lost pass" fee, they also honored my buddy tickets (which had not previously been used). Saved me like $75. The caveat was that they voided my pass for the rest of this year, so if I were to go back up, I would have to pay the "lost pass" fee next time, but I probably won't make it back there anyways, so no big deal.

She has zero experience, she's a total noob.

I'm not even sure what, if any snowgear her mom has for her. hah

Maybe I should be nice and buy her some goggles.

Niice. They hooked Leo up when he forgot his pass there a couple weeks ago too.

Just make sure she's got good gloves, socks and a scarf or something. It's supposed to be nice out, but the key for that age is making sure they don't get cold. Although, I'm sure she would love the goggles! Plus it always feels good to buy stuff like that for others.

I just surprised my wife's cousin who I rode with a couple weeks ago with a brand new set of lower end Burton bindings. Dude's board and bindings were from the 90s and one of his highbacks snapped in half while we were up at Crystal. Spreading good karma is never a bad thing.

Pine Knob opening Friday 10-10 (?) and Saturday 9-530.

Bring the slush.

Should be able to make it one of those days, preferably Friday early afternoon but if worse comes to worse, then Saturday AM like 9 to noonish.
