I've heard it and somewhat believe it. Again, because you are working so many muscles to do a squat (I've heard like 200 or something) it makes sense that you are going to improve testosterone production as you put on muscle mass.

Found this from the Men's Health article that I probably saw it in:

Quote:
To beef up your testosterone levels, the bulk of your workout should involve "compound" weight-lifting exercises that train several large muscle groups, and not just one or two smaller muscles. For example, studies have shown that doing squats, bench presses or back rows increases testosterone more than doing biceps curls or triceps pushdowns, even though the effort may seem the same. This is why doing squats could help you build bigger biceps.

I just do heavy bag. I want to lift again too so hopefully I can find time this summer.

For fun, I like to go to the Detroit Zoo with family. We have a membership there since Dylan loves it.

Then there is One Eyed Betty outings for some beer. Possibly clubbing afterwards to get sloshed and act a fool.

And movies because all the good shit comes out in the summer.

uggggh rain.

Well it looks like Boyne is supposed to get some snow they are re-opening today for the weekend hopefully someone can take advantage of it. Ahem, Chomps...

As for this weekend I'm not really sure what's going to happen... I am still going to try and get up to Hawk if they're open, but that's not looking good at this point.

Looks like it should stop raining sometime on Saturday and hopefully be dry for a while... holding out hope that they might (or Boyne might) be open next weekend too...

WAY ahead of you!! Gonna add another two days to my season total! Got my room, my pass, waxing my boards this morning. I'm headed up early tomorrow morning with that chick I met at Holly last month for an overnighter! (...No, she didn't mysteriously disappear after our last trip!!! Too many people knew she was up there with me!!!)

Too bad they shut down the backside up there!
Hopefully it won't be too crowded!

I'll post an update after I get there!

You're doing an overnighter with this chick? You sly dog

As for Saturday; the weather blows. I'm just going to bow out since I wouldn't have been riding anyways. Too much of my weekend plans have been in limbo waiting to see what happens for Saturday and it's not looking good.

understandable. I may end up punting until Sunday afternoon/evening anyways if the weather is better. Wifey wants me to do yardwork but my backyard is completely underwater, there's no way any work is getting done in that swamp for at least a week until it dries up.

Yeah my back third is a swamp too. Thankfully the basement is dry.

What is she trying to get you to do to the backyard?

This rain is bullshit. We need it, but it's bullshit.

I'm done riding for the year anyways. My buddy tried to get me to go to Colorado with him next weekend, but there's no way I can. Did some cardio this week and now my groin injury is completely fucked. I'm an idiot.
