This can be remedied with one backyard jib session. We just need some snow.
Dave's got a great point and those certs will go nicely with the CS degree that you already have my man.

I wish some of you guys lived closer. I need workout buddies bad.

Hey Leo! Sorry to hear about the school thing. (...never liked it much myself either.) Glad to hear you'll be making it out more this year. With my new schedule at work, I plan on doing a lot of morning sessions during the week. I like the idea of avoiding the shit show on the weekends. (although, I will likely go on the weekends as well.)

Sab, I hear ya. PK is just the *best* closest option for me. It's not much of a hill unless you like their park.

I do plan on going north to Highlands a lot this season, so if you find yourself planning a trip that way, LMK. Maybe we can hook up on a better hill & you can get a laugh out of all my chairlift blunders!

Honestly,... I'm getting seriously antsy to get out!! Can't wait!

Vague, I know but as it stands I'm not planning on riding much at Holly unless something changes. Unless I get comp passes

I don't see me going to PK *at all* this season either. I really did not enjoy my time there last season. Shitty vibe. I didn't like the hill itself. It's farther. Too many better options for me.
The only reason I go to PK is because it's got a relatively decent park, and it's the closest to me.

I will hopefully be spending much time at Brighton this year, and Hawk Island, and a bit at Holly. Probably a few days at PK but that's not going to be my go-to if I can avoid it.

I am trying to line up a new gig at work that would let me work mostly from home, and set my own hours. Moving Zoey also to a day care. If I can work early mornings to noon-ish, taking lunch at 9am to drop her off at day care, that frees up a few hours every day to ride

It's pretty much guaranteed that I will be up north at Highlands (or somewhere) every other weekend with other days filled in at Crystal or maybe even Caberfae. I'm debating buying their $99 pass for unlimited weekdays.

Yeah it looks like Brighton will replace Holly as my go-to "I need something close because I only have a couple of hours to ride" place. I'm interested to see what Vail's done with the place.

I've never been to Brighton. That's going to change this year.

I hope they have really improved Brighton. Otherwise it really sucks! It's only 20 min. from me and I won't go there. Too bad I'm not a park rider!

Any idea if they've replaced those 50+yo antiques they called chairlifts? What about any improvements to the regular runs? Any chance they lengthened something to more than .2 mi.?

They definitely put in some new lifts might have replaced all of them I don't remember for sure what they said, also replaced some of those surface lifts or removed them altogether I think, regraded a few of the runs, probably added some dirt, refurb'd the entire lodge facility, brand new equipment for the rental gear, etc., tons of new terrain park features shipped out from Keystone and North Star's factories, etc.

I grew up at Alpine. I went every day for 6 years or so, averaged about 100 days / year. I have not been there since '87. Looking forward to taking my kids there at least once this year. Mostly nostalgic for me. If I could jut get them to bast Kiss - Heavens on Fire, while I'm there.

Well, with the addition of some new lifts to replace those POS they had, I will have to make at least one trip out there this season to see if it's worth it. It'd be nice if the improvements were good enough to make the short 20 min. drive worth it for a few quick turns. It would be easy in n out for me instead of a 2+ hr round trip to PK when I was short on time but jone's-ing for some stoke!

Don't know if it will change this year, but they used to stay open a lot later than anyone else on Fri-Sat night too. (...think you could go till midnight/or even 1-2am, right?) So a couple weekend afterwork sessions would b a nice option too!
