It would be easy in n out for me instead of a 2+ hr round trip to PK when I was short on time but jone's-ing for some stoke!
Not sure if the Epic pass is still on sale but it was only about $500 and was valid at ALL Vail Resorts in North America, excepting a few blackout days around Christmas. If you got the budget to fly/drive out west at least once this winter, that's almost a no-brainer. Lift tix out there at $100/day, you basically get to ride Brighton for free.

I feel like they hadn't done that in a while but yeah I know they used to do late nights on Friday/Saturday. I'd be surprised if Vail still does that, but it would be cool if they did.

Well money is tight for us this year since we just recently closed on a purchase of some property up near Manistee, so I'll be spending the vast majority of my weekends at Crystal since I already have the season pass. I will probably hit Caberfae once or twice and Boyne for a weekend or two but that will be it. I am with Leo, I have zero interest in doing any park stuff so I doubt I will spend any considerable time at Hawk Island this year.

Sab I told you I'd lift with you but the only hell of it is that I use my lunch hour for it. My office MAY be moving downtown at some point so I might wind up using the YMCA there if you ever want to meet up. No big deal, offer on the table.

100 days at Alpine that's just heroic!

My wife and I talk about getting property up north in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area. God that would be awesome. Congrats on your purchase!

The lunch time thing is tough man. Then again, if I was spending lunch lifting instead of stuffing my face...

Ha!

As for the property, it was a really unusual opportunity that we decided to act on even though we really weren't quite in the position to buy anything just now. We were kinda waiting to get our twins out of daycare first (900 bucks a month). But I knew I'd regret passing up the chance on it. 60 acres, 1,100 feet on a small lake, it's pretty amazing. But like I eluded to, it's another mortgage that ties up cash, so there's always that tradeoff...

Thank god for the season passes my mom bought for us as gifts last spring, that's all I can say!

Talk to Trapper! Dude is already set!

Man though, now I'm really feeling nostaligic for Caberfae for some reason. I'm going to get a few days there this year.

Davidz is correct. I buy the unlimited epic pass every year for 639.00. 5days in the snow out west and the pass is paid for and the savings begin.

Now with Brighton in the Midwest, its a no brainer.

It's a 5hour drive for me, but weekend trips with no pass fess will be worth it.
