You said it! Is it snow up north?

BTW, just now paid for my season pass to PK and I got the Holly upgrade too!
(....wish I'd done this last year. would have saved me about $600-$700 dollars just riding PK!)

60+ this season!!! I can feel it!

Well, my creepy old ass is divorced with no kids,...

...I managed 48 days last season and I didn't have any passes! (...just about bankrupted myself tho!) Last year I also had a shitty 1pm-7 shift at work so almost no weekday riding. Gas up north was ridiculously expensive in my truck, so I was renting small car and gas for trips to Boyne. (less worries about breakdowns & wear n tear for about the same or less cost!)

This season,... I got the deal at Boyne near the end of Mar. last season and got their '13/14 Gold pass for $389 which also let me ride the rest of '13's spring. (I figured on spending $250-$325 for late season day tickets then, so I'm riding at Boyne all this season for about $60!!)

Now I'm a 4:30-5pm start, so I can hit first chair at PK/Holly 2-3 times during the week ride 3-5 hours and still get down I75 in time to beat rush hour for work! ...and I am over 10 years at work and picked up a fourth week of vacation which I am now allowed to split! Got several long 3-4 day weekends planned!

lastly, the new car gets about 35-38 mpg's so my round trips to Boyne will only cost about $60-$70 round trip for gas instead of $160-$180!!!!

I can't wait!!! I am Soooo looking forward to this season! Hope it's a Snow Dumping, record breaking year!!!!!

$389 for Boyne's Gold Pass is incredible.

I get a 4th week of vaca after 8 years, which will be starting the 2015 calendar year. Pretty excited for that.

In the meantime I'm hoping this new position works out which should allow me a lot more flexibility to work my own hours/at home/etc. That should free me up for morning sessions during the week or if I can duck out early maybe catch some laps in the early afternoon. My evenings are still pretty much shot since that's the only time with family that I get, though. And my Saturday/Sunday mornings should still be good to go.

I get 6 weeks. I always take December 15th - Jan 2nd ish off. That is usually good for 15 days of skiing. The way the calendar works out the 13th will be my last day and I will return on the 6th. I usually hit 50 or so days. Sounds like a lot but I take my kids some week days and we have to get home at a decent time so its only for 3 hours or so.

Sorry, I meant the silver, but I don't ride BM on the holidays, so I'm golden!
It was still a great deal tho!!

That there is a really great idea, in general not just for snowboarding. Our cars are wearing out quickly with us heading up to the Manistee area damned-near every weekend of the year now. Literally, I bet we spend at least 75% of all weekends up there, all seasons of the year.

Right on there, I totally hear ya. I'm not home till 6ish every night, kids go to bed at 7:30 so I really only get that little bit of time with them during the week. By the time they're in bed, I'm so tired I wouldn't want to ride anything but the wife before heading to bed myself.

Oh well, when the kids are older, it will get easier. When they can stay up later I'll just take them to the hill with me for weekday nights here and there.
