never been, but it's been on my "to do" list for at least a few seasons now. The weather or something has always conspired to keep it out of reach. I say this every year, but "this will be the year I get to Boho..."

Thing is it's so far away that I will realistically only go up there once in a winter. Buying the pass is a great deal if you *know* you can get up there a few times, but I can't, and judging on past performance, there's not even good odds I will get up there even once, so personally I am going to just buy day lift tickets if I make it there.

Yeah it's a truly ridonculous amount of driving. But it's also kind of a bucket list thing. I have no real desire to go to whiteface, sure if the pieces fell in to place and I had free airfare or something I would go but it's just not a place I would go out of my way to ride. On the contrary, I *do* want to go to the largest mountain in MI and the gnarliest terrain this side of the Mississippi.

Also yurts.

We spend so much damn time up north though, I spend more days at Crystal or Caberfae than anywhere downstate. I suppose if I could get out during the week that would be different, but even if a place was just down the road I doubt I could make that happen with my schedule anyways.
Yeah you and me got it made in regards to location. I can't invite Leo or any Detroit people anywhere up north for the day without hearing bitching about the drive. whaaa.

They're barely closer to Holly/Brighton and much farther from the Western hills and the stuff up north.

Not to change the subject but I stumbled across this while looking for whether it's worthwhile to consider spine protection. As I've mentioned to a couple people here, I'm interested really wanting to learn to ride the glades and I thought this type of protection might help.

I'm getting one this off season too.
Did you ever look into that Sam? What do others think?

I see in the Minn. thread that Lutsen may be in for a BIG dump. (...Anywhere from 18-30 in.) If true, man I'm tempted but 14+ hours of driving is too much even for a 3 day weekend.

Anyone heard if some of that is supposed to get to the NL Peninsula? I will be mighty upset if I cancel my resv. for Highlands this weekend and they end up getting a decent (4-8+ in.) of fresh!

Every forecast I see is focused mainly on Minn. Wis. and the northern UP. Just wondering if any of you MI. reprobates have any inside info to share?

(....oh yeah, Yurts Rule!!!)

Lutsen is on my list too but I honestly don't see myself getting there, like, ever.

John Dee's forecast is favoring MN really, although points waaaay north in the UP should get a healthy load of fresh, even looks like some LES tonight/tomorrow for the LP snow belt through Boyne/etc.

I'll have my mom keep an eye on the local news up there. They are out of Traverse so they cover from as far south as Ludington and as far north as the Bridge. I'll let you know Thursday what they are saying for the weekend. As far as I know, there is a chance of snow Thursday and Saturday up there. Also I think it snowed at Crystal today as well.

Yeah, I've been checking that site almost obsessively since you sent me the link. With all this stupid "Winter Storm Cleo" hype on TWC etc. I keep hoping that blast of arctic air will slam the WNLP with LE.

Guess I'm just Jone'sing for a weekend or two of POW early this season like we got late last. Hmnnnn! Obsessive compulsive, financially irresponsible, Greedy & impatient, as well as creepy! Lol! Can't figure out why I'm still single! Hahahha!

Trapper, thanks. Appreciate that. Thurs the latest I can cancel my hotel w/o getting charged, so that would be a big help. If they get 5-6 or more? I'll probably go. Otherwise I'll save the money. Room prices have jumped $30 a night since last week.

Mount Bohemia looks like it has $25 a night rooms, just bring your own sleeping bag and towels. I think I'm going to go my birthday week and spend a few nights up there. Would make the $99 season pass worth it.
