I'm a rewards member so not sure if that had something to do with it, but I got an internet price of 76.95 for a 2 Qn bed room a night. Usually about $119-$130 this time of year. (you can get a King /w a hot tub too if that's more to your liking!)
We stay at the Apple Tree Inn, it's closer to entertainment, has a pool and free breakfast and stuff and it's only $69/night.

Alpine Valley was pretty rad yesterday, all things considered. The only had 3 chairs running, nothing on the far left of the hill (but they were blowing like crazy over there). Snowed pretty heavily for about an hour and a half:

(snow animation provided by google)

Mini park was set up pretty nicely: c-box, waterfall rail, hip with a barrel bonk on top, wide-ass rainbow box, polejam kicker, wide down rail maybe 15' long, and their standard 10-15ft jump at the bottom of the run.

The Everest chair wasn't running and they were actively blowing on that slope, too, but it was accessible from Glacier. We spotted a few "swhales" that looked promising, and although they were initially really sticky, the fresh snow made them pretty legit little jumps. We were the *only* people tracking those, all afternoon. Which was good for us. Cratered them all out to bits Hard to see the perspective from this shot but basically it was a big mound/bank beneath where the gun was blowing all piled up. You could get a good ~10-15 feet of horizontal flight depending on which angle you hit from.

That picture is playing games with my eyes. Caberfae say 18" over the last few days. They are opening South peak on Friday too...trying to decide if it's worth it to go by myself.

Okay I'm actually considering going to Crystal instead of Highlands on Saturday. More open terrain and I think open later too.
