I hear yah, getting the ok from the wife is the scariest part but she has always been cool about it. It's the only time I leave her with the kids and she goes away for work usually every couple months. I wasn't going to go on a trip this year but my buddy is flying to Sacramento for work and getting me a ticket with his miles, so I will cover the hotel part when his work doesn't. Helps keep the cost down.

Where in Tahoe are you planning on riding? I was looking into going there last year before my season ended and the airfare was a huge limiting factor so it's awesome you got that covered.

Yea, I try not to ask too much because she's really good about giving me a whole day nearly every weekend to head up north and go. It's just hard with our kids at their ages (especially the 3-year-old boys) to be away overnight if we can help it.

In her defense, she is probably right this time, even if I could do it for cheap.

Heavenly/Kirkwood/Northstar - Found a pass you can use at any resort for $86/day. Yes, the flight to Sacramento was going to be ~$400 if I bought it. Now it's basically $150.

Trapper - I'm with you man...5yr old boy and my twin girls turn 3 in Feb. Nucking futs at our house on a regular basis.

Hah that's right, I think we discussed this before. I have the opposite almost: 6 year old daughter and the 3 year old twin boys. We have a lot in common for sure.

For those looking, airfare is inexpensive to Denver ($250) and SLC right now ($300).

Past few years SLC has been $400+ so that's pretty good. Still don't think I'll be able to fly anywhere this year...

Struggling to fill my calendar, damn Test Fest at Boyne runs Tuesday-Thursday so that's difficult to swing I suppose I could always take the wife & kid but it's basically a business trip so I'd end up ditching them all day, anyways. It does run from 2/11 through 2/13 so I could maybe pitch the "Valentine's Day weekend trip" to her, but frankly I don't want them with me for 2 days at Test Fest, and I certainly don't want to drive all the way back from Boyne and all the way back up north somewhere, nor make them drive separate...

FML. Almost debating just springing the $$ and going to SIA in Denver/Copper Mountain at the end of January, instead. Would be easier, I think, if not a little more expensive.

David, I booked a trip to Denver in November at 250.00 and watched. Last week the same flight dropped to 128 round trip and SW credited my account the refund.

Check everyday. They go on sale but they don't tell you.

I leave next Thursday and return on the 13th.... Hoping it keeps dumping snow.

Staying in Breck instead of Keystone for the first time since 1997.
