Does anyone know about the lib tech event at hawk island this weekend? Are they just going to be demo-ing boards or what's the deal with that?

Today was my first time riding at Mt. Holly. Since it was a weekday The place was practically a ghost town. Overall the snow was still kinda soft and deep in some places. Definitely longer runs than Brighton and alpine. Lifts are kinda slow but great for beginners. Decent pro shop . I'm not a park guy so don't have much feedback there.

Nubs glades are good. Boyne mountain isn't bad either, spent a long time in there last yr. going to highlands Sunday and may venture in. I mountain bike them in the summer so I know the general layout, but even then they weren't well taken care of for obstacles like the ol stump chomps hung up on

Yeah, I meant to mention to Sammo & Trap that the trails at highlands were probably the summer MTB trails! Ironic,.. My worst MTB crash was because of a little stump like that at my home trail. Hooked a pedal on it at 20-25 mph and did a full on "Superman" when the bike came to an abrupt halt! I sincerely thought I had broken my hip after that one! Hurt like all fuck! Two days later, my toes turned purple! LOL!

....glad I was going much slower on the snowboard when I hooked this little fucker!

I'll be heading home sunday some time after 12. But If you don't mind slowing your roll for a few, look me up for a couple laps!

Hey, welcome to the forum. I'm a Lansing guy too.

Looks like they're gonna have some pros out riding that day. I know Lib tech basically sponsors Hawk now so it might not be a demo thing, just swag and signage.

Cool. If I can get Leo that's 4 of us. It's not looking good though. His actual response: "Day trip is too wasteful for me"

These damn SE MI riders man, I tell ya.

Jeez man. Six hours on the road for 6 solid hours of ride time at a place up north seems like a good trade off to me.

It's probably harder for him to arrange guy time than it is for us.

??? A little confused, but you guys were going to Crystal?
That would be awesome if you get out to Highlands I'll probably stay a little later than I planned if you do.

LOL, yeah nothing like wussy snowboarders! . My complaint about day trips up here was always the cost for gas, and being the creepy old fuck IM, I was always doing the driving by myself etc. That's a lot of driving for one guy after 678 hours of riding.

Now that it only cost me 40 or 50 bucks round-trip daytrip overnighters no problem. Can't understand why it's a problem if you guys are coming up as a group splitting gas and everything.

Tell Leo I said to sack up and get his ass up here!

Well lift has almost hit the northside so I'll talk to you guys later. let me know if you're heading up
