Yeah if the steroids aren't backing off the shoulder pain soon, that's just what I'll do. Stupid too. You remember the set of 3 trees right at the Amy's run on-load? There is a little double drop there between the fence and where you slide up to load. It is deep n soft there and the landings from the first pop, created a second one right after. I made those all day yesterday. Today, the landing wasn't so soft. Got a headache from hitting my head, but felt fine after until I stopped to eat. Everything stiffened up. Lol! Only got 4-5 runs after before I knew it was gonna get worse.

...but yeah, I want to finish out the weekend so I'll take a break tonight if I have to. But Hell! It's fri night. Should be more chicks there tonight.

(....it's not a school night tonight!)
BAHAHAHAH, that last line killed me.

I didn't say go back to the hotel. Hang out at the zoo bar or slopeside lounge sucka. Get yo' game on!

....couldn't resist last night. By 6 the pain had backed off enough in my shoulders and wrist that I decided to head back for another two hours or so of riding. Glad I did too. Been pissing rain on & off since about 9-10 last night. L shoulder arthritis flare up was definitely the worst of the pain & injuries from yestreday. It's still a little painful this morning, but nowhere near as bad. Another small steroid dose should do it for today!

Unfortunately Now? The freezing rain advisory has been moved from ending @ 7am to 11! It's warm though so not freezing on exposed or raised surfaces. Don't have to chip my way into my car this morning, or worry about downed trees, but the slopes must be the consistency of a slurpee this morning.

I Don't think I'm gonna worry about getting first chair this morning. It's supposed to switch over to wet snow sometime today, so it shouldn't be a complete wash out for the day. Hope it hits soon!

I did notice on the radar that the Keweenaw looks like it got ALL snow from this! I'm beginning to think I might want to take my Feb. vacation time and maybe try to head up to BoHO!

Since a lot of you guys have expressed a "bucket List" desire to get to Mt. Bohemia, do you think there's any chance of putting together a meet or road trip to head up there? I can move my vacation time around a bit in Feb if that is something you think might be possible.

One reason I bring this up, after watching that vid posted in the BoHo info thread? It occurred to me, might not be smart for me to ride BoHo's trees alone in hip deep or deeper POW. If I biffed bad? who knows if anyone would come along to find me. At least in a group, someone might notice I'm missing. Maybe. Might not care that I was MIA, but you might at least notice.

Anyway, Just a thought. Could save some on cost, driving fatigue etc. Whaddaya think?

That video made me toy with the idea of heading there instead of Searchmont. I just worry that I'm not good enough to ride there and hate to waste a trip because of it. I'm sure I'd be fine, but this is what I do. I am my own worst enemy.

Hey guys. Quick question. I was planning on heading out to MT Brighton tomorrow but I'm kinda wondering what the conditions are usually like after a heavy rainfall. It's been raining for a good 24 hrs. What do you guys think?

It's still raining here in royal oak. I'd go tomorrow instead today would probably not be very good although tomorrow won't be much better at least it will be a little colder and not raining on you.

Real talk; Bohemia is outside of my skill level. I can do steeps, I can do trees, I can do mild drops. I cannot do steep trees with clif drops.

So while Boho sounds awesome if you can handle it, it's not for me.

Yet.

Survived my one year anniversary today lol.

Crystal Mtn with Trapper was fun. Conditions softened throughout the day, basically mash potato by the time I left.

Ended up at mountain instead of highlands..sorry chomps, maybe next time eh. Couldn't wear goggles with the fog and rain. Looked soaked but stayed dry. Hill was fast with almost a glazed snow, by midday it changed to snow and crappy slow stuff. Today looked great but had to drive home.

Yea it was fun and the weather was great. Nice to ride in the sunshine for a change. Only things that sucked were the glades which were tracked out and crusted over and the afternoon crowd that turned into a semi-shit show. All in all great day though. I'm wrecked after a solid 5 and a half hours of riding.
