Couple questions, anyone try blue lenses for the flat conditions we get in Michigan? Any luck with them?

Secondly...anyone know of deals or where to get lift tickets cheap? I know caberfae has college night some day of the week (and I still have an active college ID)! Any other deals like that?

Never tried Blue because they just look too dark. At this point, I'm convinced that there is nothing you can do for those white-on-white days that we get so many of. I do need some new lenses though and the blue ones look pretty rad. Maybe I'll give 'em a shot...

Caberfae frequently has insane-o discounts if you follow them on Facebook they post web specials. Otherwise, I've had OK luck using Liftopia:

Michigan Lift TIckets - Liftopia.com

Scored like $15 lift tickets at Shanty/Schuss, I think Chomps got like $7.50 at Cab through there, etc. Obviously best deals are usually midweek, non-holidays. Looks like about 15% off for Crystal, even on weekends, so that's a pretty decent discount.

I use a red sensor mirror lens...the blue sensor lens allow slightly more light through so I would imagine they perform similar. If that rare michigan blue-bird day happens I switch to the red sol-x. Smith Products | SmithOptics.com

I have a pair of blue lenses that are perfectly fine in flat light. Way better than my red solex lenses.

Wish I could figure a way to get in a night session sometime this week. I'm itching to ride right now and don't think I can wait till the weekend.

Too bad Holly doesn't do the ski free thing with Shell anymore. I'd try to make something work with ya.

I'm shooting for an am sesh tomorrow at PK. Wish I was there now! Sun's out and the web cam shows the place is absolutely deserted!

-edit-

I'm thinking of shooting over to Pando one night this week possibly. It's not the greatest place in the world, but it's cheap and only 45 minutes from my place. Actually I was there once, the third time I ever rode. It was all tow ropes, but it was fun.
