Those are the Electric EG 2.5's, new for 2015 season (I got to demo them at Boyne a few months ago).

They are really huge and seem to have a great field of vision….

I have a 2010-11 Arbor Roundhouse 163W. It's my first board. The one I learned to ride with. (...10.5 boot. I never needed a wide board )
When I think about it sometimes, I'm amazed I caught on to the basics of snowboarding as quickly as I did.

Since getting some reg. width boards, I've been riding it less and less as it's a lot of work keeping that wide deck on an edge. But, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm finding I still like the board for when conditions are right for it.

Some sort of miracle happened. I got home on Friday and my wife was like, "Are you going snowboarding tomorrow" (I had not given any indication that I planned on it, because in-fact I had not planned on it). So I decided to test the waters and said "Yes".

Wife: "Where?"

Me: "Cannonsburg"

Wife: "Seriously. I will be mad."

Me: "You'll get over it."

Wife: "When were you going to tell me?"

Me: "Honestly, I wasn't even going to go until you asked, so in a way, it's your fault."

Or something like that. I still wasn't sure it was real. On Saturday morning she said "Oh i thought you would've left already." So I explained that the event didn't start until noon and I was planning to leave around 11. She didn't try to stop me, and is not even mad.

She did ask for affirmation that I'm "done snowboarding" and since there's no more snowboarding to be done, I agreed. Of course if I win a lottery or something all bets are off.

Anyways, so it was the "Jibs 'n' Salsa" event, I think it might be the first time they've done something like this at C-burg, it was a blast. I mean I really wish I would've been able to stick aroudn for the whole day, and had a crew to ride with (and drink a few beers with afterwards...) but still it was worth the drive and the hike.

Let's be honest here, he still would've gone to Cannonsburg even if he had gone to Boyne last weekend too lol.

FWIW, I love snowboarding, but wouldn't trade my wife and kids for anything. Sam's just lucky he's got a wife that likes to go with him.

Plus, when my kids are old enough to go with me every weekend and ride all day I'll never have to ride alone again. So I'm pretty stoked on that.

Dave's got a baby. Babies make everything in life more difficult. Gotta cut her some slack dudes!
